Okay. so netrod now obviously REM of full value. with an unconscious state, can be repaired, with ability even to recive orders from order pool - his move 0-0, & others stats also zero, but i belive he could go prone. also - he need an arc now? he prevent enemy from re-camouflage in his LoF as i belive. that else? any suggestions?
Yes. It can not fall off-board now. If it fails an AD Combat Jump roll, it simply deploys in contact with a friendly table edge.
Netrods are now also Veteran, which means they remain regular in Loss of Lieutenant and Retreat, which seems like a massive buff.
They can be targeted by RemDrivers, which means that the PH RemRacer can allow them to pass a Dodge, and therefore move 2 inches. Neat!
Just wait until someone uses that named RemDriver to make a WIP 14 Netrod so it can successfully Guts check away after being attacked.
they can also declare look out! and can also declare discover (tho only really legal against camo with no mimitism) within 8. Also, apparently they can just fail guts and therefore go prone.
No, there isn't. I got confused originally thinking they had made them Religious rather than Veteran, which would have done so. So actually with a WIP of 0, they're definitely going to be falling prone and falling behind corners when shot at. They seem to have left out a rule to move Mov 0-0 troopers IMM or similar.
My question is, now that the max body count is 15. Are netrods still necessary for the game? My army doesn't have access to them and this is why I ask. Are they truly necessary now that a list with less than 15 orders is not going to be overwhelmed by 16 order lists? Also taking in to account the price reduction of many strong units.
I think that Netrods are still an option. I don't think that they are essential for Aleph but you could say that for many units in the game. I like them and they enable list with more then one real pricey unit like marut and asura.
not forget there is 150-200-250 points formats, in which cheap order would be appreciated Also Aleph still have enought expensive troop profiles to compensate.
Thats the point other armies don't have access to expensive profiles to "compensate" in the same magnitude.
That is pretty annoying. Aleph will hope for failing the PH tests. In N3, the balance of those horrible machinations was in the likely dispersal and chances to get lost.
It was also just brought up on the Aleph forum that they can now go prone, something that could come into play through a coordinated order or some such.
Now it Regular Veteran LI trooper. so still need an arc of View, can declare mov to 0" & prone with it, can discover in 8" radius on 3- & especialy can be appointed as new Liutenant. with a good NCO Lt who cant be isolated & stay somewhere deep in your deployment zone - which may be better?
Don't forget: When shot at, will automatically fail their guts check (assuming you don't use the character RemDriver). CB probably should just add "This trooper is permentaly IMM-B" or something.
