That was the case in N2 / N3 - every fireteam that could include irregular models had other requirements that made them regular instead. Looks like they're dropping that in N4, however. I'm pretty ok with that, because it let you warp points costs pretty badly in some cases.
Aaand why exactly to build this expensive haris anyway? Their shooting is on same level with raktoraks, and only better then vanguard\gaki\preta... I do not see place for them ;(
Doctor worm might be a little bit ...of more utility? Do you want to attach slave drone to kurgat and leave it out of it's haris?... in old army kurgat was 17pkt... some tight lists with need for enginieer and several missing point could justify use of kurgat then...but now? Autocannon... ;(... Linked missle launcher from vanguard is cheaper... ( Zerat multi sniper is cheaper ;(.. Yoagat sniper is almost same cost but wider attack utility... I think Autocannon Kurgat is just a fancy looking miniature :(
You move the Haris forward to support the Raicho, so that people can't get close to it Autocannon is a meme weapon anyway, Mk12 and BS is where its at
Ah...hmm... It is a very difficult strategy to support Raicho that way. It is much more easier and safer go hunt with Raicho, but keep in reserve several orders to run back quickly. But I do realise I might be not the best player and maybe you're the guy who can make that approach to shine... For me warbands, zerats, gaki\pretas + doctors worm slave - are cheaper and easier solutions to support Raicho... 0_0
Not really, it puts a bunch of Specialists up-table with the Raicho, with Mines to stop Hackers and smoke-covered CC specialists getting near the Raicho and potentially a Raicho in Suppressive Fire to do overlapping coverage with the Kurgats.
Okay, now that I finished moving and had the chance to look at the new morats and oooh boy! I like it! Think about it: we have a fuckload of attack vectors now: We can push forward with one heavy team of Suryats or Rodoks, we can go two pronged either by tag-teaming Raichos or the now properly killy sogarat, and we can still deploy extra threats with the new and Improved Zerat and Rasyat. Rasyat spitfire coming in ON THE ENEMY DEPLOYMENT ZONE? no one is safe! Dropsuit Taryot coming in with Explode to whack a problematic ARO piece? Yes please. Or it can just walk in to press buttons. Anyat tagging with a Sog or Raicho to provide smoke cover? Hot damn! I love it. Buckle up, boys and girls. Our murder monkeys just got competitive.
Never seen smth like this during a tourney and that it would bring some win...? Veeery sceptical... And all mines got blown away by fast enemy drone or warband... Instead of pushing with mighty raicho, spending orders on smth that might not work at all - this is going to happen sooooo rarerely... And all hacking is performed through walls (mines do not explode through the walls)
Why is the Morat player being so incompetent that they're leaving unmined approaches that close? Sorry, I'll shut up and we'll just have to agree to disagree.
Yeah mate, I don't know, I kinda get the feeling that this one is on you. Because I've done that with Rodoks+Raicho a few times and it worked. I am not sure if Kurgats will be better now with their changes, but I'm willing to give them a try, and a 3 monkey engineer team carting short range weapons and mines sound good on paper.
I had pretty mixed experiences with Kurgats in N3, but I’ll probably be giving everything a fresh shot in N4. The upgraded profiles are interesting, but I’m still not sure I’m sold on the autocannon as an actually effective attack piece.
What about K1 sniper rifle Vanguard? Still useless or is it decent option with its cost 18 pts/1swc? Imho I plan to try it and I think it is better option than it was in N3. Odesláno z mého Mi 9T Pro pomocí Tapatalk
It’s priced the same as a standard (shock) sniper rifle now, so I think it’s at least usable. Still not sure it’s worth taking a Vanguard sniper, though.
