So uhh, anyone got any idea what to do with Wolfgang Amadeus Wolff in DBS? As far as gunfighting is concerned he just seems to be a heavier, more tradeable version of Arslan.

I love this new and improved DBS. Sure the titular unit didn’t get the points reduction some were hoping but IMO they were already good value. It can’t be ignored that the baked in team options and movement increase is a big buff too.

It is easy to lose sight of this when comparing everyone’s favourite morally ambiguous MI to the improvements other parts of the sectorial received. And yes, they’re awesome. Scarface in particular. However, you can also flip this around and see that the faction is now less reliant on that core link team, allowing you to experiment with other builds and ideas.

You can still run that 5 man core. It’s as good as ever. Now though you can experiment with multiple smaller teams. One thing I’m keen to try is 2x 3 man link teams (core+Harris). Without having to dedicate a model and SWC to that Haris profile, it’s a lot more enticing!

To reply to the previous question though, the thing I cant really explain is why you’d take Arslam over Amadeus now unless you need the Lt profile or the meta requires MSV. That aside, Ammy just seems stronger and more fun to play.

While I like the upgrades to DBS, I'm still not sure I can see a reason to play them regularly. In N3 it was the unique scarface & saito. Now Scarface is available in ikari. Saito is still amazing, and has support with the new ninjas. I do like the fact that the Hanzakuts got a regular profile (if using browser the BS profile only shows as regular after adding to the list). With the loss of overclock the repeaters are not as good, still fairly weak in the hacker department.

Considering that their FO profiles do not have Flash Pulses, I'd say the regular Hunzie is a bug, among with the absent FP.

I hope the regular order is intended. The regular profile is the same price as one that has deployables. I assumed it was intended.but if it's not then it's another reason DBS is not as interesting. When I say not AS interesting, there are some scenarios that I think they are better than ikari, but it's not that common. Mostly it's access to saito specialists profile that makes DBS playable.

I think that the regular Hunza is intended. It's the same in Haqq. And also the lack of Flash Pulse can be intended. That's the same situation like with Nadhir (still hoping that the Hassassin will get Flash Pulse).

About Druze - sadly they didn't change enough, but their army has some advantages. The new options for Scarface are great. Also it's nice to have even more great units in midfield - like Aida or the Kunai (with nice minis). I'm puzzled about the Wolfgang...

And I'm not sure that DBS got what it needed - or rather I think that it didn't. but still those buffs aren't bad. I'll definitely start N4 with Haqq but hope to try DBS too.

No Al Fasid here, so there is something missing. :D

But to be honest, I think that most of the tools which were already available but too complicted to use properly got buffed to a reasonable point. Fireteam-flexibility now is a real thing and hacking can even things quite fast now, if you invest there. My big issue with no reliable shooters in turn one FtF-situations is solved with the Bulleteer to a point (still missing a regular reliable engineer) and is also improved with the ongoing targeted-state.
With further thinking, I see no issues against most of the common problems, except for camo-spams. I have not checked the opportunities for this in other factions, but if I think back to my last N3 game vs. TAK and assume a similar list against me now...No Sat-lock, sensor only in my own ZoC without any extensions to this...The best I can to is to intuitivly attack them with the new templates. Great!

Yeah really wish Arslan got something or got cheaper. Everytime I take him I feel like I'm at a bit of a handicap. I wanna feel good for picking the boss man!

Pretty sad these guys did not pick up Rem Racers, seems like a good fit. Lots of positive tweaks though.

I'm still sad that I find myself minimizing how many Druze I take in favor of other units. I had hoped they would become a better option than the other things in their sectorial, but the Wildcard ABH, and addition of Bulleteers really cemented the Druze as second class in their own faction.

The faction looks stronger, but not because of it's namesake.

One of the reasons (but not only one) I start playing Druze more then year ago was because their option to build one of the most efective bombarding army - smart missiles & em granade launcher. (Every Achiles enjoyed to face my Druze ;p ) And now in n4 these gets much better!!!:
    1. Targeted forever or until reset (with -3 mod)
    2. ARO spotlight and no neg modifier anymore
    3. Clipper rem has standard guided Missile Launcher (not anymore DA SML) = EXP :p
    4. Cheeper full link with EM LGL (before bit restricted in team compositions, now even possible EM LGL + 2 ABH + 2 Brawlers)

    Other then that:
    - scarface better in CC (no negative for assault)
    - more duo budies for scarface (Wolfgang?)
    - Valeria +1B for Total control

And looking forward to use Peacemaker in first turn with supresive fire on him ;)

I gotta say, the new Druze has me VERY excited. So many subtle, but far reaching buffs, it's crazy. One fun one is the E/M LGL. A lot of people see the range bands as a nerf, but now I see my Druze firing them up to 32" away on 9's in a full link... or firing real grenades that far. Nothing to be upset about there!

Just remember that Targeted no longer switches the -6 to +3 for speculative fire. That's a bit of a bummer, but a small price to pay for all the other buffs we got.

How are you finding the actual Druze? Are they a competitive choice (outside a couple key specialists) within their own faction now that ABH are Wildcards?

Can't seem to find ABH as Wildcards both in the app and the website. Am I losing something?

ABHs are wildcards in Dahshat, not Druze.

Check the Druze Bayram Special Fireteams PDF. Ignore Army for fireteam comp, the only correct source are the 2 PDFs per Sectorial that show units and what fireteams they have, and the Special Fireteams document.
