Another, the new sculpts for Magisters are getting discontinued already? Isn't the previous version a different SKU, starting with 280247? Why?
Probably because it didnt sell well. The magister resculp was really underwhelming compared to the beloved older sculpts, and how awesome most of the new knight sculpts have been. Hell the cynic in me says magisters didnt get a new edition buff and lost stealth because their kit os getting discontinued and there is no incentive to make something that wont profit good.
Exactly that, the magister nerf makes no sense in a game design perspective unless it's a marketing thing ... just look at the tanko ... on topic I've redone my crappy MO N3 list in N4: 8 knight list ZERO point reduction xD (0SWC santiago is prolly a bug) the only reduction are -1pts from REM and serg hacker is now an EVO -6pts MO were a mid tier at best they now at the abyss tier KotS, Teuton are still unplayable and deserve to be removed religious is now a huge neg, we don't have anymore courage (tanko still have it) but no price drop the compensation for this neg; well I guess; that the CC skills ... on the CC topic .. the whole infinity universe got a CC buff there's less and less low tier CC units any 20 pts CC specialist unit is gonna eat alive any knight (remember that CC is a trap don't do it) we lost stealth randomly on profiles (tanko still have it) the good things are: absurd overly optimised TO infiltrator at 23 pts and AP HMG Tik but doing a TAG list in MO is unfluffy and not ITS competitive because all the huge MO flaws are still in: Lt choice is still garbage with no CoC (don't) and pretty much only the santiago Spit as a viable one (with Joan maybe) MO TAG list: it's not bad but it feels off to play this kind of list in MO N4 just killed my hype for MO, hopefully we have two new Pano sectorial now: ForCo and WC :p and meme Karhu AP+DA HMG
Raising the stakes with this one: https://infinitytheuniverse.com/arm...AJgEBAAAmAQEAAgQAhfcBAQAAEwEBAAAyAQEAAIOnAQIA About the most satisfying one I could come up with. Coordinated/linked Medkits look very useful to pick up high PH HI in N4 and lets you get around the Doctor requirement. Not quite so happy missing out on an Engineer, but hey it's a Tik, doesn't need to go anywhere near the enemy DZ. KOJ ML + Trinitarian MSR to have some defenses tie things together. Joan doing Joan things. She's also important for Courage with most things in MO losing it or not having it, they tend to behave a bit silly being only Religious, Joan makes them smart about their Guts choices again.
It's really only a suspicion, but because the Santiagos have not changed in points at all compared to other heavy infantry and have the 0 swc spitfire Lt there's a chance those profiles aren't where they were meant to be. Same for the magister's who didn't change at all and have impetuous listed twice on their profiles( skills and the icon).
I'm holding out hope that MO gets a more full update in november when the sepulchre actually becomes an S5 like we were promised.
We have better chances that Acon will still be awesome, and NCA will get better if Bolts are anything to go by. VIRD is just fine, and SWF got more interesting in N4. So there are options for those who decide to stick with PanO.
Bostria responded to a facebook post asking us to just wait a bit longer. take that as you will. im very much enjoying building with SWF although tbh i enjoyed them in N3. though Karhu + Fusis are stupid good, it lets the rest of the list be more flexible
Oh? That's interesting. We'll see. Karhu are cool, so are Vargars, they're something really new for PanO. Boyg are still underwhelming, but at least now they're priced more accurately. What I'm not sold about is the existence of Nokken and Locusts in the same army, and sh**load of half-baked characters, like Uma or Quinn.
well, here's hoping for a few more shake up in the knights then. I'm honestly more interested in order sarge links as my core atm.
Didn't Bostria said also quite a lot of BS (including difficult terrain having no penalty, only bonuses for troops with proper skill) ?
Yeah, that's why I'm not getting my hopes up. I'm more like "it'd be nice if CB realized that MO needs some actual thought, but by now I don't care much" ;)
Man, just don't like the idea of playing MO to play a Tikbalang or a MO core. I want Knights. Fuck links, just impetuous and coordinate order up the table. Jam your entire army into their deployment zone on the first turn and see what happens. I do like the Seraph, it lets me not take a Hospitaller and unlike other TAGs its somewhat ok with getting up in their shit
