Honestly the only case that can be made for teutons is that it would be a 26 point lt.

But even then at bs13 compare it to the supposed tanko profile we saw that's also bs13. Now that berserk is +3 the teutons cc is absolutely anemic some non cc specialists even got bumped to the 18 range.

But again, cheapest lt. In sectorial so i guess that might be a reason to take it

agreed on lt - what i had in mind was mixed link options, i would probably spend the points to throw one in a link in place of a magister for the utility

With Ph13? He's one of the most reliable in game. 80% hit chance. Crusader is not going down by the looks of things. Most mi don't seem to be getting any cheaper.

 

we're playing in a landscape with 17 point HI. hell, even the cheapest ORC is 29 points.
30+ for the crusader just feels insulting.

I've wanted to like him, but locked in a sectorial whose main draw is HI, HI link teams, and a TO infiltrator there's just no way to justify him.

Ok, tankos are 17 points in N4... impetious discount, my brother. And with B1 weapon and a 2 uses disposable... Woooooooow. So nice HI with elite BS that cant use...

 

They still have smg and lightshotgun options aside from their DEP and flamenspeers. Tankos are... well simply fantastic

I really wouldnt hold out hope for hyper-cheap magisters. 22 points is still pretty well costed all things considering - imho the bigger issue is if their supporting units get cheaper.

 

Well, Teutons got cheaper, so now they're not worse Hospitallers, they're budget Hospitallers.
Also Berserk has absorbed Assault, so now I imagine a link of Teutons jumping at an enemy like Kroot in Dark Crusade.
