The beta army leak was known to contain incorrect/incomplete data, so I’m going to just wait a week and see then. A previous update video said that all NAA sectorials are going to be live on the 25th, and that includes both Druze (DBS) and Bolts (ForCo).
Druze hit Army 7. Changes worth mentioning, X-Visor is on all Druze including the HMG, LGL loses Nimbus (it's no longer in the game) and gains regular grenades, prices are about the same. Anaconda dropped to mid 50's, and went to ARM7. Ejection is still there. Brawlers got minor price adjustments (+-1pt, Doctors and Engineers still 20pt). Bashi's came down a little. Arslan still overpriced at 36, gained nothing. Saito comes down 3pts.
Not officially, so I am hopeful that there are some changes still to be made. CB made a mistake and it was available for a while a week or so ago. They closed it off by requiring permission to connect, but never reset the connections that were already made. So if you didn't refresh/close it you are still in. But it's not looking real promising the day before launch.
I was hoping some of the Druze themselves would become a little more front and center to a Druze list, but maybe that will be resolved with everyone dropping to 15 orders and Linkteam changes?
Having MSV1, Arslan got an upgrade regarding shooting through smoke - I think 36points might seem reasonable for that
I guess. I'm not sure what i was going for with him. Maybe Marksmanship or Mimetism. He can shoot through smoke to help with warbands, but he'll get destroyed by any smoke shenigan MSV2, which is pretty abundant. I don't see this as Druze getting any better, especially with the power increases elsewhre (JSA, Corregidor, anything else)
If this is based on the leaked profiles, I'm not sure we want to put a lot of faith in them. Several of them were obviously wrong or placeholders so we do not know at what stage of development those were taken from. Regardless, if some of the stuff is actually true then Medium Infantry is going to be in a very strange place in N4. That obviously affects Druze in a major way. While DBS gets a lot from the known Code1 and teased changes; if MI are more expensive than the costs of cheap, 2 wound HI then DBs may be a challenging sectorial to play in N4. It was pretty consistent that the updated army leaks had MI not adjusting much in costs, and that isn't looking good. My suggestion is don't waste any thought or worry on those profiles. Wait until tomorrow and see what the actual profiles are before you stress about Druze in N4.
I agree that Medium Infantry are in a really awkward place. They cost as much or more than true HI, and many don't make up for it in other places. With things like EVADERS, Tankos, Domaru, Zuyong, etc all in the mid 20's or lower, and some truly beefy units in the low to mid 30s they need specific tricks to be viable. Druze are in a particularly tough place because we have no options for pointmen to get us clear of our own DZ. No HI to link in, not a lot of variety, and little redundancy in our tools (1 MSV2, 1 MSV1, limited smoke, limited infiltration, limited drop troops, 1 TO, 1 Camo, etc). Compared to the changes we've seen for other factions I feel like it leaves Druze in a really rough spot. Ikari on the other hand looks like it will benefit nicely.
Unfortunately druze and arslan didnt change points wise. We did get wildcard bounty hunters which are nice and bring down the cost of a druze link.
And we got Wolfgang wildcard which can act as a good durable pointman for our links. His multi rifle will be throwing out 5 dice.
I think my main disappointment is that there is now less reason to bring actual Druze. LGL Druze, Everything except the Druze got better. In fact the whole sectorial tells you to use as few Druze as possible and mix in cheap options and go remote heavy.
They also picked up Mr. Kunai, and Anaconda is now a Specialist Operative with Fireteam Duo, meaning you can link her with any of the Wildcards!
Anyone understood the changes to Armand LeMuet?? NBW and a MultiSniperRifle? What kind of Madness is this? :)
He was having double breaker pistols before and he was previously a target of some CC warbands back in N3 (looking at you Yuan Yuan), so having him actually stand his ground against CC-centric enemies is a welcome change as far as I'm concerned.
that is an understatement :P 7 Armor adavanced ecm +3 to base CC 2 new loadouts (ap hmg, ap spitfire)
