They did mention they plan on altering Fire Teams in a more significant scale at some point, hence why they will be in a PDF, but not in the physical N4 books. So maybe it'll change up sometime next year.

Doubt it. Then wouldnt have gone in the opposite direction with fireteam composition now.
Okay, maybe its just the new HB speciality to have mostly wildcards, but I have a feeling it might not just be that.

Listened to the Mayacast episode today, and Bostria said that the sectorials missing at launch would be added to the army builder in November.

I'am agree with @emperorsaistone in "many wildcards" it will not only a thing for hassasin, but I don't expect every sectorial reciving this kind of flexibility. I believe it will be 2 kind of fireteams: really specific ones, with not too much options for wildcards, or none, and the opposite, fireteams pretty much completely formed by wildcards.

About the rules of fireteams, I think is something complex in how the rules makes interaction with others rules, so, being apart it will made easier to modifiy or clarify many as neccessary, for sure this it isn't something to change drastically the fireteams rules between its seassons, but minor adjustements. Otherwise it will be, maybe, not the best. But, who knows. Maybe is what we need, new fancy rules for fireteams.

Yes... I can understand some sectorials having to wait, but "Tohaa", which is the "only army" without any... Of course they are few players which don't have others armies, but for tohaa it looks more "restrictive". In some way CB is forcing this players to play "spiral" or to wait until ends novembers (all of us know this means earlier December). While I will clap CB for not erease the "non buyables sectorials" and let us to play with, I'am really disagree with the decission they made with tohaa. It isn't fair for a lot of players.

This video I will have to watch it from youtube!! :D I will pay a lot of attention today to my "whatsapp Infinity groups".

This, sadly, applies to anyone who plays an OOP army. It isn't half as bad if you have another force to use while your OOP one goes on a sabbatical (I'm in that lucky situation - while QK is on hold, I have other armies to fall back to), it can't lie well with folks who play only that one OOP army (I'm set for a monday game with a friend who plays solely Steel Phalanx - it is likely to be his last game for the duration).

Sure, Tohaa are, fluff-wise, a Vanilia faction - but rules-wise, they make use of Fireteams and have no Sectorials of their own - making them more like a Sectorial themselves. CB seems to handle them like a Sectorial too, that was being discussed on the forum many times.

So, yes, for the next two months or so, Tohaa players have the choice of taking a sabbatical themselves, switching to Spiral Corps for the duration (out of curiosity - can Spiral Corps field a viable list made of, solely, Tohaa Trident troops? I guess it would be quite like the period in early N4 when there were no Sectorial rules at all, and thus I had, among others, to play Corregidor-flavored Vanilla Nomads) or starting a new army alltogether.

    • Is CB handling it all in a perfect way? No, they are not.
    • Is it acceptable? Having an army on the sabbatical myself, I think it is.
    • Is it better than Some Other Gaming Company treated me back in the day when they were undergoing an edition change, and kept my army on provisional rules for, if memory serves me, a couple of years? I'm absolutely convinced CB do it better.

It's not ideal, but two months really doesn't seem like that big a deal. Especially during a pandemic when we can't use our models anyway. On TTS we can play whatever armies we want.

Tohaa are actually the least badly hit, because:

From what I've seen, every Spiral list consists of Tohaa units plus Helots. It's not hard to proxy some Helots.

The hardest hit are pure sectorial players whose only option will be to play Vanilla, but who don't have the range of models needed to play Vanilla. 5 Djanbazans won't do much good in a Vanilla Haqq list. But again, two months during a pandemic - not a big deal.

I guess New Zealand is holding tournaments, but isn't that about it? I haven't been following the world situation too closely, since here in the Americas it's still impossible to play. I assume Europe is the same. Maybe Asia has come through and able to open again? I assume not due to second waves.

Where do you know that's able to play? I need to know who to envy!

We’ve been playing regularly in Sweden all throughout the pandemic more or less. Not large tournaments of course but there hasn’t been any lock down.

Europe had very mild restrictions in many, if not most countries. Here in Austria we could have had tournaments since July. But that might change soon.

Around what time can we expect the new rules and Army 7.0 to go online on the 25th?
