Okay, first of all. I don't want to offend or be offended anyone here. But I just have to ask why yj is crying so hard. It really explains to me that there must be a connection. No other faction is that negative. In fact, it goes so far that behavior here prevents me from starting a yj army. I mean it goes so far that cb employees are often insulted. This can not be. And at the very end the didactic idea. Just leave it? I don't even want to start with positive energy, etc. I just notice it very much. If the thread degenerates into something unwanted (I have my suspicions) it can be deleted.
Most likely YJ forum is filled with negative people because no other faction got screved so many times? Starting with straight up stealing our unit and giving it to CA (ko dali). Taking entire JSA out of YJ to give us design space. Later using this so called design space to create IA with all its abberations like Liu xing and hulang. And then taking all the mistakes they made with 1w nwi HI, fixing them and givin final product to everyone one else but not YJ. Also Krit Kokram/Tai Sheng fuckup that lead to creating the privilage of the most expensive engineer in the game. And thats just few reasons that come to mind in a split second.
I love my Invincibles and my YuJing. Don´t pay attention to the forums other than for... cringe worthy entertainment, I think. And a tidbit here and there. Enjoy the nice models and go play, some people here critize a unit and in the same line acknowledge never even running it once.
All factions have their moments of saltiness. PanO, YJ, CA, Aleph... Nomads are CB's pet, but even their players complained about Tunguska. Haqq players are the most chill, but even they complained about RTF (and occasionally about QK or Bahram). YJ players simply had the most disappointments, I think. Still, some - if not most - of players' complains deserve only eyerolling
Because my Zuyong looks like an Evader that traded in all of its special rules, better guns, and equipment for something else. That something else was in typical Yu Jing fashion, a +2 CC dump stat.
I'm sorry if you are made to feel like not collecting YJ. I can only talk of my own experience of playing since it first came out in the US. Over the last few years it's felt like there has been some favoritism towards other factions and a lack of paying attention to YJ or caring. I'll break it down: Taking away good characters and giving to others (If i bought the figure, I want to use the damn figure!) Come out with one figure for what's supposed to be a main-stay (Shang Ji) and then not do one for several years (first one coming out at some point soon). Also change that profile to not be very good or make equivalents in other armies better. Taking away half of an army and then not having anything new to fill that gap right away Then because of that split you make some of us pay to build up our forces. Again! Before I had a playable force, then I didn't. Coming out with a new sectoral (Tunkuska) instead of one to replace the one you ripped apart. When finally coming out with a new sectoral (IA) half a year later, then making it feel very half done and profiles that are just not that good (Liu Xing and Hulang, god I want to love this guy but can't) Not sticking to their own story by not having some profiles absent from IA (Daofei and Tigers soldiers) When coming out with new profiles and giving them a sever lack of options Come out with a mercenary force that takes your mainstay profile and give them better options (Dahsaht and Zuyong) Come out with new profiles for others that are almost the same as the ones you did for YJ but make them better and more options Give other armies the rules you first gave YJ first and made them special for at least that little while On a personal thing, I always irked that PanO had more HI even before the uprising and those HI had Martial Arts. Some are fine with the pseudo-HI (ARM3, NWI, hackable) but it doesn't feel like HI to me at all. Especially when your guy goes strait to dead instead of unconscious. And make sure they only ever have one doctor to bring back those expensive troops. Then today they come out with a bit of a smack in the face with the new Nomad profile that's a MI (not hackable) ARM3, NWI and Shock immune profile. True YJ might get some changes, but they don't fill me with much hope. The new Su Jian profile looked pretty good but I can't help but feel that's going to be the only thing. Edit: Something add is just not having a good story for the Uprising. It was something like a 13 year old would like. Also making your force look like genocidal maniacs.
On a side note: I actually wait for N4 to decide if I want to keep PanO, or switch to YJ. For all nice toys PanO has, YJ always felt more flexible to me, and with an actual design idea behind the faction, other than "You get Mimetism! You get MSV! You get Mimetism and MSV! +1 BS for everybody!" :P
So far no NA2 really clicked for me. I was hoping WhiteCo will be different, but no dice, at least so far.
Don't worry mate, off the forums yu Jing players tend to be the coolest But actually, at least in my corner of the world yu Jing is both popular and well regarded. The negativity definitely puts me off the forums for long periods. Hopefully we can start some positive yu Jing threads for N4!

Yes well life's alot more positive when you get VIRD, OSS, or SEF instead of IA. We'll just ignore that many people are still grinding axes over Uprising and were expecting to receive more than has been delivered over the last couple of years. Throw in Yu Jing being one of the factions getting affected by the 15 order cap more than others due to Vanilla and many people playing heavy warband useage (the data backs that statement up I'm not just pulling it out of my ass) CB probably would've been smart if they had been dropping more Yu Jing information particularly on hot topics like the Shang Ji. Showing the Zuyong next to the Evaders would've been smart (I am assuming they're not 23pt Zuyongs and they're actually costed so they don't look like a joke next to them) because I don't need a degree in market research to tell you the obvious comparisons that they were going to draw almost immediately. @Koni @Bostria free advice for you right there.
What causes it? The negativity and bitter tears? Probably the result of "tribal" over-identification with the faction - the same way sportsball fans over-identify with 'their' teams, as if they are part of them. Like the way they say "We" won, when the team wins a game, without their participation (because spectating is NOT participation) as they hope to share some of that glory and adulation. When something affects their faction negatively, they react as though they have been physically harmed by the event themselves, and lash out accordingly. If something negatively affects a faction that I play in a game, It only makes me reconsider my options. Do I have other options? If that answer is no, then I leave the game. It doesn't mean selling or getting rid of the models I have already purchased (it was the miniatures that got me into the game, not vice-versa. I can like miniatures without liking the game they are from), it just means I move onto something else. There's always another new shiny around the corner. I've never been one to have only ONE iron in the game fire but I also never go "all in". I will forever be a dilettante at gaming. I will have at least 2 forces (it makes it easier to get others into the game, if you can show them the game and having 2 forces ready to go helps enormously with that). If one gets squatted, I go to the other one. The first will get re-used for another game, perhaps one that is miniatures-agnostic in the same genre. When I tire of the game itself, I move on from the game.
We PanO players can show we’re whiny babies without even profiles to whine about! That’s why we’re Number 1!
Hyperbole lives on these forums. If you keep track of the negativity you can usually trace it to a handful of prolific posters who just want pre-Uprising Yu Jing back. The game and faction has moved on, but they're still stuck in 2016. I wouldn't worry about it too much; to them the army will never be what it once was, and they'll continue to embarrass every other Yu Jing player while they bitterly proclaim this broadly known fact to anyone that listens.
Honestly I don't mind the order cap because I never used Kuang Shi. But marketing is important and they are not doing it well. Like I said above, the worst they did was take things away from people and not have something to ease the pain. Instead they did things to make some feel worse.
