When durability and speed are needed, her stats really come in handy. With a lot of 6-2 HI out there now, putting her in a link with them makes her a member who can keep up and stay alive rather than be the weak point that a canny opponent will try to dig out to make you lose the 5-man +3 BS bonus.
I always thought the muyibs is a really hard ARO core, with the option to deploy HRL and mines antiperson or e/m... plus the ghazi outside... What more do you need to do a really hard ARO? :D Of course, now, with som many options we could have both. A defensive one and later, when the ARO pieces were death we could do again the core and bring the enemies some fire... Something like you can do right now with the muyib core + muyib haris, but cheaper and flexible.
Sure, we have great tools to keep the opponent out of our DZ. Primarily Mutts, but the Muyib minelayers could help too. Personally I always found the Mutts to be enough, and never fielded the minelayers. But by "ARO core," I mean something with the range to interfere with your opponent in the midfield on their first turn, not just to keep the rambos away. To that goal, the Muyib core only contributes the HRL. Which, as I've said elsewhere recently, is an ok but expensive ARO which doesn't really compare to what some sectorials get. Linked Bagh Mari sniper, Kamau sniper, Father-Knight ML, Haidao sniper, Grunt sniper, Unidron sniper, Dakini sniper, Taagma sniper, all make the Muyib HRL look pretty mediocre. (And the Bagh-Mari link also brings between 1 and 5 minelayers, one of which can deploy his mine an extra 4" forward, just to extra-outshine those poor Muyibs :-) To be clear, I would not want HB to get a strong defensive core ARO. Different sectorials should have different strengths and weaknesses. But it's helpful to recognize our weaknesses, I think.
But they cost SWC hehehe :P "Yeah", of course the muyib isn't the best shooter ARO if we do the comparaisson between him and the guys with visor and/or mimetism, of course. And yes, you are right. Maybe I was here too much "looking into myself" because mostly ARO is to me avoid to be killed in the enemy's turn, and I think not so much in ARO as something to disturbe the enemy actions in the midfield, but never is too late to keep this in mind for the future :D In this case the "muyib" is really a poor tool. Most if we think the amount of "shock" ammo these days. Now we could have some Govad with ML and too the humble muyib... Hassasin in N4 will make proud the "boss of ITCrowd" :P <<Team, team, team>>.
Personally I like the Lasiq core. It will be super expensive, but i'm hoping in N4 they go to MOV 4-4 and it seems like viral will be needed.
With so many "wildcards" probably the lasiqs will be more in the table. I really like to play at least one of this guys (the solo snipper) when the match was LI. We will see how viral works in N4.
These updates make me glad that I got in the Hassassin train before it became so pushed. Same with tohaa lol. If we really get a 20" deploy full core, this faction is going to be wild. And going second we have premium roadblocks and just by going 14 instead of 15 orders we threaten a stealth rocket, though that balanced approach does keep us out of limited insertion which would be ideal for the all in list. Woah, you guys telling me that in this newfandangled mixed-link Infinity, the link with the really cheap guys and the wildcard strong dudes is the best? Shocking! Snarkiness aside, I think wildcarding Muyibs is one of the coolest additions I've seen in the game. Always liked them but man that link was not my jam
The Wildcards making a viable Lasiq core was something I hadn't thought of. It would be nice as they are an interesting unit that I tended not to field out of their lack of specialists.
After the latest rework where Leila could be part of a "lasiq" core we had our "specialist", but the 10/5 mov killed most options to "go forward" and make objetives, and it was expensive and without Lt option. Seeing the rework some others IM are having I'am optimistic. We will see. I really want to start play hassasin in N4. At least until Acontecimento wil be released!!! :D
I think we are forgetting that in N4 Tac Window is a thing and point costs are changing so cheap Ghulam link may not be the most optimal choice. My idea is: Govad HMG Govad KHD BSG Muyib LGL Muyib Doc + Yara 128pts This gives you msv1 BS15 HMG, access to smoke, number 2, doctor +, MSV2, specialists and the Govad KHD has a boarding shotgun which I reckon is a nice addition for N4. Hopefully it wont cost 0.5swc. It is expensive but in the contezt of N4, costing is all speculation. Could swap the hacker out for a Muyib minelayer and use the FD1 to put that mine in a better spot. Getting pretty excited for N4 :D
I hope the new points adjustment plus the big numbers with the "wildcart" bring os less of "optilmal choices" and more "your choiches". I like the fireteam you just posted. Really verstatile, botton pusher plus a little "killing" punch. I'am as you do ;) "waiting for N4"!!!
Yeah, I think Yara + Muyib LGL is going to be great as long as the Muyib keeps smoke. I don't think I'll ever be leaving home without that pair even if they aren't linking together.
HB could also get access to the Ghulam NCO with smoke for N4. It's obviously not a big pickup for Govad teams, but it would make a Ghulam core with wildcards, especially Yara, noticeably better.
People who think a govad link will ever be viable when there’s a new msv2 wildcard unit are obviously drunk, which is haram. even the Muyib core is dead . Now that they are wildcards . Just because you make a Ghulam link doesn’t make it inexpensive there will probably only be one Ghulam doctor in it , the rest will be wildcards. If I sound pissed I’m not , I am glad Hassassin are becoming more viable . 3 Farzans 2 Fidays one might be Al 2 Islamic noctifiers , 2 mutts Some kind of core link with leyla, Ghulam Doctor, new Msv girl, Muyib smoke, Asawira Something like that We don’t have the new points yet
Effendi, I have just used a Spoiler: Govad Core Hassassin Bahram ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10 FIDAY Rifle + Light Shotgun, Antipersonnel Mines, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW, Knife. (0 | 31) FIDAY Rifle + Light Shotgun, Antipersonnel Mines, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW, Knife. (0 | 31) ASAWIRA Spitfire, Nanopulser / Pistol, Shock CCW. (2 | 43) AVICENNA Combi Rifle, Flash Pulse / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 27) GOVAD Sniper Rifle / Breaker Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 25) GOVAD (Number 2) Rifle + Light Shotgun / Breaker Pistol, Knife. (0 | 22) GOVAD Hacker (Hacking Device) Boarding Shotgun / Breaker Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 28) FARZAN (Minelayer) Boarding Shotgun, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 23) FARZAN (Marksmanship L1, Forward Observer) Rifle + Light Shotgun, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 24) ASAWIRA Lieutenant AP Rifle + Light Shotgun, Nanopulser / Pistol, Shock CCW. (0 | 41) 3 SWC | 295 Points Open in Infinity Army Note: 3 Govads and 2 Asawira in Fireteam. Avicenna standing by to fill up the Team should someone - most likely the Govad Sniper - fall. last game. It was a very short and very unpleasant game against Steel Phalanx. I've lost initiaitve and deployed to block opponent's movement. The linked Govad Sniper AROed enemy Thorakitai Feuerbach (who was trying to get rid of her) and killed him. Then, she AROed Phoenix trying to do the same - and killed him, while a Fiday (counterdeployed to bloc the rest of the Phoenix's Fireteam) AROed with his LSG and downed one Myrmidon. The other Myrmidon then charged into CC with Fiday, and got cut down. My opponent lost 4 out of his 10 models in his first 3 Orders, two of these to Govad-based Fireteam. At which point he yielded the game. Sure, I had a lot of advantages, and my opponent made a couple of mistakes (deploying his gunfighters out of Cover, and I never would've expected him to use the Phoenix's Fireteam, with Govad having her sights on Phoenix and Fiday - on the Myrmidons), but still - Muyibs would've had much more trouble there, especially with the Phoenix.
Does anyone know whether Viral will still be separate from Shock in N4? If yes, there's a serious reason to consider Wildcards + Lasiqs core, since those will actually be the doom of all those power creep "heavy infantry" with Shock Immunity and NWI, like those new Nomad toys or Chinese supercheap heavy infantry. Just one failed save against viral and they're completely deleted altogether. This way putting 1 Lasiq sniper in a core of wildcards to then switch to Ghulam core after his inevitable demise could be quite scary.
