Ok, I have to admit I was too lasy to create this summer's threads and seing the last ones not used much didn't help. So I've found a very selfish reason to restart the monthly thread : motivating myself to paint something Maybe, if others find it motivating too, then I can pretend I'm not that selfish. Rules: 1) Post a picture of an unpainted/primed Corvus Belli miniature you pledge to paint. 2) Paint it within the month, post your proof (PICS or it DID NOT happen). 3) Rinse and repeat as much as you like. 4) You can re-pledge a miniature next month if you didn't finish it. 5) Enjoy and learn! 5) Divierte y aprende!
I have two minis to pledge. One Infinity and one HVT but from another company. Already pinned and cleaned them
Thanks. It was ringing a bell... because I had bookmarked the site time ago but forgot. They also have a tech and a (tiny?) reporter, the woman seems to be the best of the three.
Ad I always have problems uploading pics I will just write and maybe add a Pic later. I am currently working on the 012 half of wildfire and beyond and will paint the gamma, the kappas and I hope the omega.
Just wanted to let you know that I really Ike your enthusiasm and the idea with the thread to motivate yourself and others to share their progress.
Should have posted it here not on the old thread ^^ Re-pledging the pilot as I was not happy with the result last time. Trying something different in term of painting method. View attachment 20143
The gamma is down. kappas and omega are Still WIP. but the lilac is done. will post pic when they are finished. does anybody else get Emperors Children vibes from this guy?
WIP are fine, this topic is here to motivate people to paint so (I do it myself a lot) to get feedback from the community. So please share as much as you like.
I work with army painter colour because I happened to have them around. I primed with GWs Grey seer. The I started out with two coats alien purple shaded with purple tone to get a dark saturated tone. After that a thin coat of orc blood whereas I try to don't get the darkest parts. Followed by accents with oozing purple. Shade with purple tone to smooth the transition. Highlights with oozing purple. A second highlight level with white would be possible in some places.
I on the other hand am really frigging slow despite putting 3 hours min per day in this mini (and I really get sweaty palms when I think of the bases)
