Ah. Just taking a closer look at the numbers from Ieldin, this is specifically a bad thing for ISS that needs addressing by CB - both ISS and vanilla Yu Jing trend towards really, really, high number of orders (on par with vanilla Ariadna, basically only beaten by Caledonia) for top 33% with unusually bad numbers for bottom 33% (seems vanilla Yu Jing is the hardest faction to play, who'd have thunk?)

Yes, it'll be good for list variety in general, but specifically for ISS there's a reason why list variety has been kind of bad and it's not that it hasn't been possible to make non-spammy lists.

It's because the single combat group lists aren't viable right? That's the part that bothered me before when I wrote that big letter to CB. Glad my suggestions for MOV on HI is coming in, it's necessary. I'm hoping the crit changes make those other non spammy troops more viable. Maybe we just need to play N4 but till we can, we should hold off buying models if they wont be fielded. That's a another thing I hated that CB did. Make new units and armies shiny, but not everyone wants to buy the same thing everyone else is, when people stop playing say JSA as much cause TAC or Shasvasti just dropped, maybe the person who wanted to play JSA but didnt because everyone else did can buy in, but if the army you wanted to buy into doesnt get updated, you dont want to buy in and CB heinously thinks oh this army doesnt sell well, we should shelve it. So it's like they shoot the army in the foot then are surprised when it dies...

As far as model sales, I like what malifaux does. They update their catalogue with new sculpts even if the previous ones look great still, just more variety not only in paint scheme but general look while keeping SKUs down. Obviously theres a lot of SKUs for Infinity, and truthfully we maybe dont need quite this many armies, just fix all the ones you have first. Like in JSA I like the hats and I also want old school helmets look with the masks... I'd buy a beach version of yojimbo and Kitsune, or just a modern biker look for him. The JSA TAG is cool, looks evangelion but I want Gundam too...

Sorry for the rent, not upset, just making a point

Loss of most hard and soft ARO from the Camo and mind games, in favour of linked smoke and MSV shooting plus high AVA Kanren and Kuang Shi. It might not be as fast and as Rambo as a Fiday or the crap Combined can pull, but ever game I've played against them has been about slowing their irresistible roll into the midfield objectives- a race I've lost every time to date. A trait of the army seems to be that everything moves up at once to mutually support each other with their close range trading gear, which makes it an absolute pain to get them out of board sections once they've cleared them of your guys in active. It's quite easy to pick off key pieces in an ISS list, they just don't have the resilience to stop you, but when it comes to board control it's another story; ISS have the tools to take out any defence (if they can keep those tools intact) and make that conquest last.

I'm really not sad to see KS spam gone at all. I'd go so far as to say that stupid unit constrained Yu Jing as a whole because of its distorting effect on the Order supply, and it sits at the absolute top of the list of units I'd like to see changed- as long as they take out the constraints that came with it. I always liked their mechanical design, but the Regular Order is crazy powerful considering their cost, AVA and general utility. Doesn't help that their fluff, though cool and flavourful in a faction that's been lacking it a lot lately, is so objectionable to many that there's a subset of YJ players that just won't use them despite their power, which may explain a little of the giant gap between top and bottom tier YJ players.

I sincerely doubt this is a real thing outside the realm of internet outrage.

I do hope the crane agents get cheaper. They are for me the most iconic ISS unit and i would love to see them more on the table. With the hints dropped that melee might not be so overpriced in N4 i have some hope.

I know at least 2 YJ players personally who refuse to play it. (outside of a tournament setting)

Does no one play Wu Ming fireteams in ISS anymore? They have some great loadouts and are cheap enough that you can actually field 5 full HI without completely hamstringing the rest of your army.

Edit: sorry, I meant then wtf is Bakunkn/Tunguska there for?

Linked smoke is really not that big of a feature to forfeit all the things Vanilla gives so, as I suspected, we are down to the 8 Kuang Shi of Doom, which is going away. At least now all 3 of YJ Sectorials will be equally pointless.

And agree, I'd love to see KS gone or redesigned so they could give YJ some "design space" (but please, some real design space now, and not the shit excuse for Uprising)

BTW I noticed a recurring theme between the newly announced sectorials(afaik, it wasn't discussed): scape/void fighting/faring.

Nomads with corregidor relaunch (as far as I understand they are the most void-combat capable amongst the Nomand)
    Ariadna with Kosmoflot
    o-12 with starmada
Shona Carano being hired as head of security on a circular

Now, correct me if I am wrong, wasn't QK(silk/intelligence/navy of Haqq, right?) the first sectorial to be retired(followed by MRRF, Acontecimiento?, Tohaa, NCA)?

Yes, we know that the HB will receive new toys, but could this be an hint that QK is being worked on and will return on the scene?

I might be wrong, but I think the first sectorials that were retired where MRRF and shasvastii, QK got it later.

CB did their little chat poll during the N4 stream where QK was requested by the overwhelming majority, but I'm not sure if that had any significance.

I am relatively new to the game(1y+) and finding which sectorials were OOP was quite difficult since there is no official announcement of retirement, so my understanding/knowledge can be incorrect

Is this a meme or CB trolling? 13 pts lsg + pulzar at those stats with super jump? That's a spammable cheerleader on its own.

BS12, dodges on 15s, CC19, MA1, Shock CCW, Super Jump, Light Shotgun, Pulzar, Duo, Haris. How the fuck is this 13 pts.

Shock marksman MSV2 option at 25 pts. SMG Specialist with Nanopulser at 15 pts.

Recently somebody said Streloks were "disgusting". What the hell is this then. CH: Ambush and FD2 instead of all the above skills (good skills on Strelok, granted, but still Cheerkillers a lot of good Skills as well), BS-1, PH-1 (Dodge -4), CC-5, way worse weapons, lack of a template weapon and same 25 pts for the Marksman?

Yup. Cheerkiller makes Celestial Guards and Morat Vanguard seem... dumb... but the two premium profiles doesn't seem all that over the top, tbh.

And yeah, as fatherboxx writes, Camo is fantastic. Ambush camo even more so.

I aggree, but if what Hellois said about MAF on the stream gives me at least slight hope that CB will look at Vanguards profile and them viable option. It is hard to tell if they will also look at CGs.

Both the ambush camo (adding more game elements to the table and camo being the best skill in the game), and FD2 put the strelok heads and shoulders over the Cheerkiller, and a better ammo type is also desirable.
