ok now it works funny how painting patterns on 8 ball minis pants help to look good maxinus - tad yellow face is tjhis plastic or metal cast ??
I think the strong blue probably threw off the color adjustment in Photoshop. He's fine in real life. :D They are the plastic figures.
I used Vallejo Game Color Dwarf Skin highlighted with Elf Skin, with Reikland Fleshshade for a wash. And a little bit of white and red to get some extra shading.
The picture doesn't show automatically but I klicked it a lot and it showed up in a new window. Nice model, two thumbs up!
So i feel i should type something ,, Lunah - is bad but thats not youit is just badly casted mini and is damn hard to pull off anything nice with her i do not menage to made her way better, Gatta another not best casted mini hard to paint this nice - i just escape this problem by making coll base Kazaks - the things with contrast or washes is to touch ups things after is done to get things clean and fix dulled contrast Miamoto Shasimi - another bendy gummy mini - menage to get pants ans shoulder guards nice rest is lo details tho - in your case white is applaed to uneven to look good beside this good work keep painting
Thanks for the feedback! I must admit I cut quite a few corners with the Aristeia minis - they are simply not as good as the metal ones and I didn't want to put too much effort into them. So your criticisms are fully justified! :D
I'm getting there with my Ariadna starting forces, here's the Scout. For once I departed a bit from the studio paint job, to better match the camouflage cloak to my patchy snow bases.
and again no body comenting .. V kazak - you could work a bit on global shading this usualy increse effect on the mini - and by this i mean things away from light are darker then the one facing light in case of your mini it is zenitallight so betwen legs , under arms darker - and over all darker toward the ground - unles knee is sticking out forward and catches a light from above Tank Humper - same as above + stranger orange skin colour - ther is almost no orange ppl - even Trump is not one as hard ad he tray ;) Scout - paint camuflage pattern first then shade with glazes / filters - effect is way better and natural And Adrianna batle suit - cammo looks always better if you know how to design a one (and there is a science behind one ) or if you replicate existing one instade of random splouches if you are up for cammo game let me know i will explain how to sesign a one or how to replicate a one correctly (and easy ;) ) - and if you like one in my topic just ask i shoud remember correct design and paints :) other things - shoes - the under part should be black or dirty if you make minis in this type of scenery - this is good iea to remember - minis in sterile clean base will get them clean units on fleld - dirty - invading forces from outside to clean bases - dirty and will live tracks - it is a good idea to remember and easy to create anrrative with this :)
Thanks for the detailed feedback again! You're giving me great pointers on how to improve my painting, though I'm probably not ready to go down all those roads yet. I'm probably at a point where I need to decide whether I want to put even more time into each model and make them actual display pieces. At the moment they are still meant for gaming, which means I am probably overdoing the work I'm putting into them already. :D
depending on time yuo put in to a single mini - you may spend time in nonefficient way so it may tok to much time on non important things
