I hope not as we have seen that. I am hoping that Team Polaris is something like a celestial guard with control device and that the Polaris Bearpode is bought individually and is a massive monster of a dog face. I defiantly do not think the Polaris Bearpode is a pack of 3 bears.
In the rpg book, the bear thing can deal with multiple antipode packs, it's going to be a tag sized dog warrior with a bear head.
I disagree. While yes side by side varangian guard are better. However since Wallace is there and most likely the LT all that goes out the window. Galwegian have better CC, better WIP, yea V. Guard have 1 more ARM but they are double the points. SMG aint great when you only have a BS of10. Your gonna be useing the chain rifle anyway. I'd rather have the galwegians.
This is exactly what I’m expecting. Imagine the size scale between a normal wolf and it’s antipode analog. Now picture the same scaling ratio between a polar bear and a bearpode. I think it will be the Ariadna TAG, especially if it’s posed standing up on the rear legs like the artwork. Possibly with the controller even sharing the same base with some form of Guard rule.
I much rather prefer a proper ariadna TAG, a giant bear already having warewolfs and alien wolfs is just too silly for me. If at the very least they tried with something a bit more different than a upscaled earth animal...
Pretty sure 22 is higher than 21. And having 1 point better WIP on a non-specialist, courage unit, is relevant like 5% of the time. They pay a premium to regular and non impetuous. But it makes them one of the safest smoke throwers, that will still contributeto the team even when they don't need to throw smoke or stab someone. And all without having to take wallace along to babysit.
Your right on the CC must have been looking at something else. In this case Wallace will be there most times. I dont know how they are any more reliable smoke throwers. Personally id rather have the orders
they are more reliable in that they are ordinary impetuous, so they won't go running out and get themselves killed if you don't want them too. Letting you more reliably keep up a smoke screen in a particular area as needed. While more important for MSV2 shenanigans. It can still be very helpful in keeping a set part of the board under smoke cover for maneuvering.
Why would it be an NA2? It's part of the Ariadnan nation. It has unique space-focused profiles (and probably sculpts). Not a waste of a concept imo.
The other Dawn native "bear" in the RPG apparently is a bit more alien and kind of resembles a bipedal carnivorous buffalo... I don't know if that's better.
But that's kinda proves my point. The Galwegians need a 35 point model and to use a link team to get the most out of them. The Varangian doesn't need either.
Depends what you want them for. Varangians have lots of value in just slinging grenades to smoke up, galwegians can link up to storm a section of the board more reliably at greater cost. Both useful, different niches
I think they're the same unit - the Team Polaris is the handler/unit as a whole, and the Bearpode is the actual bear half of the unit. The promo picture is the bear, btw (if we're both talking about the art that was in the N4 trailer).
I have to agree, I'm not a fan of the way they built this sectorial. Ariadna expeditionary space force, cool. This rendition, bleh. I would have preferred to see it not resemble TAK in space a little more. Maybe bring back a little more MRRF thematically.
Yeah but that's hard work on resculpts and sku for a business that already is at capacity, having to mothball old to create new. I'm surprised at how little usariadna feature tbh, think that's indicative of changes to the range going forwards
Some more image drops today: EDIT: Might as well add the the Monstruckers images since vanilla can use them, at least in N3.
