Funny you mention the Northwest, what with the problems they have with this very topic! This has already been addressed multiple times, but no. Don't do just this if you're going to ever try to approach a company about something like this. The person answering your email generally won't be someone who can potentially enact a policy change. That's not the case here on the forums, where we have people like Bostria posting.
I have read the entire thread and I am in agreement that it needs to be closed. I will review it further and see if further actions are needed.
