Even just Sniffers and Climbing Plus on Zerats would go a long way. You could have them laying Sniffers down on rooftops and then your M-Drone in the backfield revealing or Sat-Locking camo tokens. Also, in fluff they're described as being the way they are because the role of female Morats when they were caveman-tech pack hunters was to be the beaters i.e. to flush out hidden prey. IMO anti-skirmisher capabilities make sense, and would work well to differentiate the Morat playstyle from that of other factions. They should have a weak midfield objective game, but an incredibly strong ability to attack their opponent's midfield objective game.
Just on the miniature front for N4. Is anyone else hoping that the minis from Defiance see a regular Infinity release? I didn't need another board game of that scale just to get those minis but as a Combined Army player I really would love to get some those. In particular the speculo killers. I hate the look of the one they just released but I love the look of the ones they made for defiance.
None of them? I mean it seems silly that the only place to get so many CA profiles is in Defiance. The HMG Charontid, the Spitfire Gwailo, Taighas.
The *sculpts* won’t see a release outside of Defiance, but the profiles represented will have alternate sculpts released in the general Infinity schedule.
So does anyone have any more information about N4 outside of what we've seen in C1? Preferably Morat related but I'll literally accept any new info for changes anywhere in the game.
They've been pretty tight lipped about them so far, we can't confirm anything other than "Fireteams will exist".
I am surprised nobody discuss answers from Hot-Cold game Helllois played with us on the facebook. There are some interesting things for us. Here are pictures with the questions and answers. Feel free to add your oppinion. It looks like there will be even some stuff for MAF.
Morat rule changing, is kind of a nice surprise. Hopefully it will make them more effective through out the whole game and not just circumstantially... That Bonus Morat question is misleading. I'm assuming HellLois said some hot meaning hot for the first question and maybe depending on personal preference to the second question. Can someone point me to where the rest of the hot cold game answers are?
I hope that infinity week and Seminar will give us some more info about changes to Morats and other parts of CA. Infinty week starts tomorrow and semiar is planed for friday. Odesláno z mého Mi 9T Pro pomocí Tapatalk
Man, am I the only one scared of a change in the morat rule? The morat rule is not bad, guys, it is overcosted. And CB has proven time and again that they hit as often as they miss when it comes to MAF. I really don't think those are news to be excited for. Cautiously optimistic? Yeah. I'll go with that.
You're right in wondering if Morats will keep the LoL and other fighting abilities, but I mean they made a whole race forced to get shot at with that religious rule. They were still expensive and I never understood how a militaristic race would have its troops not be tactical and take cover by choice when outgunned. Game wise Vanguard are weak but cant choose to take cover when outgunned. The real thing I wanna see is the number different kinds of viable lists in MAF increase to at least 8. I'd like to see every kind of fireteam available make it into a list that is made for winning a tournament with just as much chance as say the best Pan-O has to offer for example. I'm strongly considering JSA because it's variability in viable lists looks pretty high. That is a good point but I don't think that's what HellLois meant because unless those individual skills are much cheaper and they don't become taxed on troops like the Sog or the Raicho, MAF would still be more expensive than it should be for less optimization than what you would see in other factions and sectorials.
Some interesting news. In N4 we can use command tokens to set models in to the suppresion fire before start of the game. Imho this can be helpful to our non camo infiltrators. With i this change Zerats, Krakots can survive longer or we can set up some defence. Question is how effective it will be. Also it depend on the changes to these units. Other things hot by Hellois in N4 Cheaper HI and all MI MOV 4-4.
To be honest i don't think they could make it worse. My Morats would hit the table more if they would even just remove the rule altogether (and the price of course) so any change is welcome for me.
The Command Token option and MI all 4-4 is a good change. Considering ARM is more effective now, I am surprised HI are going to become cheaper. I wonder if that might mean even with previously 10 man HI based lists those once Limited Insertion lists will from factions that don't do well making LI lists even harder to play that type of game. HAHAHA, just make Morats the most generic army in the game and they become more playable
