I really wanted those be Wildcats. Even if I do love the actual sculpts and, as many before me, I being pinned to this game with the Corregidor Starter Pack, I cannot stop thinking if we can get a re work of those models I could be only happier. If not Wildcats and a new unit, then I am really looking forward to something that might be add to Tunguska as, at today, it seems to me they are the ones most in needs of some new air. Nothing wrong with them, but having a bit of variety would really help. Later on this year, I do hope there might be a revamp for the zonds same has happen already for PanO and Yu Jing, as something I personally thing, as needed. The smallest zonds we have, are few of the mini I really cannot appreciate in the Infinity universe. Ended up using PanO bots, from my side, for those. Cannot wait for Monday and the first anticipation to come out. Anyone fancy the idea of buying the new rulebook ?
For me, it is mainly a matter of whether the model coming with it will be of any use to me (I play 6 sectorials. Well, when I have a chance to play anything, damn the 2020). I'd love to give the new fluff a read, but I seriously doubt I'm going to read it more than once. I don't think I did it many times with the N3 one I have on my shelf. And I can, generally, live without it. A perfect solution for me would be to borrow the Corebook from someone else in my local community, give it a read, and then give the book back. The Rulebook... I'll be using the online form of it anyway.
I’m going to guess a second type of hollow men, similar to how haqq has janissaries and hortlok jan’s, maybe this one’s a 1wound medium infantry Hollow man?...either way I’m looking forward to it!
If they are wildcats, I will miss the shoulderpad design (I like the one we have not), but there is something there telling me that they are not. Not sure if it is the helmet, the armor or what, but I don't think they are wildcats. They also could be 0-G hellcats (With no AD wings), but again, I have the feeling they are not. If they are some kind of MI AD tunguskan unit, it is greatly wellcome! (but if its a light HI, it will mean almost nothing to bring an expensive specialist to an allready expensive sectorial, but new units are allways cool). But they look very corregidoresque to me. Almost no hi-tech lights (very small ones), and not much black. The dude on the front looks like a hacker to me, but not hacking, just doing some check ups on the system. Lastly, I cannot agree with the statement of "CJC is ok, don't need new units". A change of edition brings new units, new types of game for everybody. Maybe for some styles of playing CJC there are no need of new units, but new styles, new options should be nice and wellcome. I've seen those "CJC is fine" all n3, and I think it has been proved that no, it wasn't ok at all. New units are not interesting when they just replace units allready in the roster (jazz>valeria and similar)
I hope it's a new Tunguska unit, I'm not against other sectorials getting new toys but Tunguska needs it the most, needs to be more flexible. The unit looks very different to the current Wildcat, Hellcat or even Intruder which share Corregidor design style. If that is a Wildcat it means a complete redesign of the unit which I doubt heavily. At a glance I'd say It's a tipical Tunguska design...visor, biceps, pouches(securitate), armor plates, etc. Well, we will see soon enough where do they belong to.
Yes, I agree with @Modock and I have to say I don't even like the picture very much. I don't like the shoulder pads, I don't like the head, I don't like the paint scheme (why are the pouches red?). The picture itself looks unfinished and unrefined. So I hope it's no new Wildcats, Hellcats or Tomcats … or Cats at all, but instead a completely new unit which hopefully gets a good sculptor who can save them from the look in the picture Edit: and while the thread resolves around this pic, it still fits for a new Idea: While Hell Lois said in the Hot-Cold Game that Nomads don't get new characters, I still think the idea of some Uber-Bandida like Uxia would suit Nomads/Corregidor. Just … wishlisting
Because Hackers typically have the hologram shenanigans, and Engineers can also pick locks I get more of a combat engineer feel from it.
I mean they look cool, and the MSR is mildly useful in TJC, so was the FO before Jelena, but that's about it.
well... grenzers (And TJC in overall) issue is that they got a half baked work. But even with that, I think is better having new toys... instead of remaining untouched and end abandoned (like tohaa for example). BTW, I liked the missile launcher one in my securiate fireteams, but they were far from what were supposed to be when the staff talked about them the first time
where have been confirmed? and... what if they are for BJC? maybe, because it has been our most pulled apart sectorial in n3, it would be the focused one in n4, with a revamp in dessign? just a wild idea (that I even don't buy)
