    Hello there !

Just saw the N4 trailer, and I screenshot a possible unit (the one in this image)
I think it could be a Tunguska unit, but what do you think it could be ? Someone on facebook told it could be a new support unit, but with the dude with the boarding shotgun at the back, maybe an AD unit ?

could be! could be another cat squad. the chest plate is mostly reminiscent of Hollowmen imo, but not too out of place with SWAST, MB, or hellcats. color scheme feels really Corregidor though. might just be a tomcat redesign, which wouldn't be so bad though not as juicy as a new AD unit.

    1. Given by the amount of armor plating, I'd say MI.
    2. Colors seem to indicate CJC.
    3. Depicted obviously in a Null-G environemnt.
    4. The one in the background packs a Boarding Shotgun - Tomcats didn't had these (so far).
    5. One in the foreground is apparently a specialist, and rather Engineer than Hacker.
    6. No wings visible on the back, so likely not an AD L3+ unit, i.e. rather not the Hellcats.
    Of the existing units:
    • Tomcats are supported by #2, #3, #5 and #6, countered by #1 & #4.
    • Hellcats are suported by #1, #2, #3, #4, and countered by #5 & #6.
    • Wildcats are supported by all 6 entires (they have Multiterrain, and Zero-G is one of the possible choices for a Multiterrain troop). They are also long due for a resculpt.
Of course, that's just my guess. Might be a Tomcat or Hellcat rework. Or something entirely new.

@Errhile, like the post just for the wet dream of those being new Wildcats!

Could be, could be not. Don't get too excited over it :)

Also, I have a full set of the old Wildcats, and I'm happy with them (well okay, should CB redo the unit, I'd probably have to convert some more loadouts... oh well.).

Unit in space fixing something say Corregidor to me. My bet is on a new unit, because for a new edition there are various new units here and there. If it shows a resculpt my bets are more tom- than wildcat. Look a bit too bulky for both.

    @Errhile I too suspected Wildcat re-do. Let's hope!

That said, Tomcat/Hellcat could make sense too, or it could be a new unit.

Either way, I'm happy to see some potential CJC love coming.

Edit: as I look at the image again, I think the specialist might actually be a hacker, due to the special visor. CB has been using those regularly for hackers now. Although the datapad seems out of place for a hacker and more says Engineer. So I could see that one going either way...

I hope it's Wildcats and not a new unit. We don't even need any new units unless some part of N4 justifies it.

I don't think Tomcats rank even top 50 units that need a resculpt so that would be a waste.

Tomcats current sculpts are FINE, don´t mess with them. They are on the small side but, space people.

Wildcats are tiny for ARM2 MI, and we just need new models. Together with Morans they are the only irritating piece of the CJC rooster (and the support pack and the remotes but... you get the point).

If that is a hacker visor I want a HD/Eng mixed profile on the Wildcat now. The Wildcats are right now one of the few linkable Engineers in the game right? And CJC´s best AHD. Why not?

Honestly, if they resculpt Wildcats, Morans, and the basic Zonds, CJC doesn't really need anything else.

I’d second the thought it’s some kind of Zero-G/EVA troop.

They need to drop or replace Carlota. I also do not like the support pack but that doesn't mean it needs to be replaced.
Which doesn't narrow it down much for CJC.

I’d err on the side of something completely new, looks too different than any of the -Cats.

I always forget about Carlota (doesn’t everyone?). She needs a profile fix too. The support pack is fine IMO too, but they’ve been updating the other factions’ so I’d expect ours will get done too.

I also wouldn’t complain about new profiles but I really hope all the outdated CJC models get updates.

We got Bandits and Jaguars at the start of N3 so who knows? Unless it's somehow a tomcat I'm buying it either way. Wildcats could really use a change in looks to be different from Intruders.

Cat Dak is so iconic... Nomads have lost a bit of their “weird” edge in their N3 era updates. It would be fun to see some of the truly weird stuff make a comeback.

    Here's what I found out.

    1. The face mask is original to Tunguska for now(Hollow Men, and the Puppetactica), but the sample number is only 2 so it's also probable that CB decided to spread the design over Nomads.
    2. They look like HI since: Except those thighs with clothing, they are covered with armor plates which are relatively new in design-wise(still you can see the biceps of Hollow Men, and the plate on their collarbone resembles the shoulder plate of Taskmasters, the kneepad is also Nomad-ish). And mostly, the artificial muscles, i.e. on their deltoid muscles, forearms and calves, have been exclusive to Nomad HIs.
    3. They kinda look like MI since: Those pouches all around their pelvis, it's very new. No HI from Nomads had those many pouches dangling all over their body. And also, they are wearing 'pants' not armored plates on their thighs. This is also quite a MI thing, but if we see Hollow Men with coats, it's not unfamiliar to see another powered armor with clothing integrated on them.
    4. I'm not sure which mothership they are from. From Zondcautica and Puppetactica, Tunguskan troops also started to display some bright and deep reds as their main color, so donning those reds might not guarantee they're from Corregidor. To me, they look like another Tunguskan specialists or some sort.

I’m gonna guess Tunguska MI, which would fill a gap since the only other MI they have are the Grenzers, and that faceplate plus the device he’s holding means there’s probably at least one hacking profile. There’s also a visible headlamp on the helmet; between that and all the pockets for gear, I’m guessing it’s some sort of boarding action commando unit.

Even if it is some kind of Tunguskan Boarding Action Commando Unit - I will happily use them as Wildcat-Proxies as they look really cool :+1:

    I am positively hyped!!!!

Another missing sculpt: Lupe Balboa - perhaps in a resculpted Dire Foe Box - as Lupe makes it into nearly of my CJC lists (together with Morans but I use new Khawarijs as Morans....for reasons...).

I believe CJC doesn't need a new MI troop. We have a good choice of units, and bloating it wouldn't serve us well.

We are likely to see new take on several units with the new edition - and, as N2 to N3 has shown us, the changes can be pretty deep.
Also, Wildcats - I hope we all agree - are out of scale, and rather dated, so they are due for a resculpt. Sooner or later.

In-universe, we are being told that at least 2 years have passed since the last events we were aware of. In terms of military technology and doctrine, that's enough time to re-equip and re-train entire armies. So definitely any unit could look different now, and use different equipment / weapons. Maybe not all of them, but any of them. Re-equipping Wildcats with new armor and helmets - not a problem.
