Bikes are cool, police on Bikes was a given. If y'all hate playing them then simply dont, i can't see the point of arguing about Bikes being cool or not cool TBH

Because it isn't just saying "YES PLZ" or oohing and ahhing like children at a fireworks display.

Additionally, read the name of the Sectorial.
Then read the name of the unit in question.
    Lawkeepers, "Badlands Patrol"...in Starmada.

This is the part that people like you seem to always gloss over. The objections aren't just to the bikes. It's to the continual shoehorning of bikes into places they don't belong.

So basically Infinity is returning to the homogeneization it had in first edition. Because before sectorials the factions were VERY similar with only a few unique units.

To me, it looks like bikes are only a major thing (more than one available) for a few factions (Vanilla Haqq and Ariadna. The Sectorials of TAK, USARF, Dahshat, and JSA.) Vanilla Haqq is unique as they can play as biker gang! In addition, it seems like bikes play differently vastly based on the faction (e.g. Kum and Mavericks should not be used similarly).

While I understand that people may not like the aesthetic of bikers, it feels weird for people to say they are taking over the game or homogenizing the game. All the different biker units each bring something unique to their armies.

Bikes in Infinity makes sense to me. It is a useful vehicle when doing recon, patrol, communication and escorting VIP/Convoys. It is a good way to traverse an urban environment fast and more flexible then any other vehicle. But even in the great outdoors it makes sense. The war in infinity is clandestine and mobile, with roles needed that a bike can fulfill. It is one of the few vehicles where the driver can also maintain it and fix problems with it, solo. Remotes needs more logistical support and can not do the same face to face jobs a guy on a bike can.

It is why O-12 probably want bikers. To patrol, slip past defenses unnoticed and be fast and flexible while having the operative work solo. Even Starmada, when they land somewhere to move out fast from where they deploy. And I heard the Circular is pretty big, might need a bike to traverse it. The use of bikes screams Police to me. I want to paint mine Judge Dredd.

I have only ever seen motorcycles, as implemented, being a big thing for JSA and the occasional Penthisilea.

Because apparently it is used as an argument for them being a good include for the sectorial and in the starter set over other potential miniatures.

From the unit name they sound like roving marshals enforcing the law in out of the way territories, probably not part of Starmada itself but working alongside them as local guides/Specialists.
