So, with the September releases locked down as N4, Starmada, and Shona, what do people hope/expect for the month when the local daily average temperatures start to dip below 30°C? Personally, I hope for the first of the C1 TAGs (Cutter resculpt and Blue Wolf) and maybe the CombArmy vs O-12 Dire Foes, hopefully giving us Casanova as an early Starmada release too! Speculate away!
Hmm. General release Lynx of some kind, more Shasvastii garbage in a blister, Shang Ji box and Varg box would be my guess. Lynx design already exists in a Defiance addon so I'd expect that soon anyway, CB appear to have fallen in love with the space bugs, and both White Banner and SWF are still missing a bunch of models- and the Shang Ji have precisely one current sculpt despite being used in two Sectorials, and appear to be seeing a redesign fresh for N4.
I'm 99% sure we'll see Lynx in one of the Code One boosters, which are after TAGs if they stick to the schedule. That said, I'd be very happy with a Lynx blister as there are loadouts that aren't in C1 like the Breaker/KHD and Plasma Carbine.
I'd like to see some Aleph releases, especially to finish the OSS line. For the OSS units, while there are a couple missing profiles, the two models that I think are the oldest and no longer fit into the new line are the Asura Spitfire and the Devas with devabots. Of those, I think the Devas should be the priority, as the devabots don't fit the new style of the Dakinins/Kiranbots/Garuda. Plus the only modern Deva sculpts are 1 combirifle hacker in the Coldfront box and the spitfire deva in the dakini box, despite the fact that they're a Fireteam:Core with Ava 5. While a Deva + devabot blister would be a good replacement for the current devabox bot, I think what they need is a unit box consisting of Deva + Devabot, boarding shotgun deva, and sensor Deva. This would provide updated sculpts to all but 1 profile, and be a visual complement to the dakini box.
For Code One - assuming they will fullfill their shedule from top to bottom- there is a DF Box missing, the TAGs, two Booster Packs and the Character blisters. So my guess is Pan O TAG (either Repack or Resculpt) and Blue Wolf (the REMs and Support Packs were stretched over two month, so I think the same here). That leaves the two Boosters and the Blister for November and December, maybe January. Looks thight to me. With a new Sectorial for O-12 and the Svarlaheima sectorials still missing their key-models and a ton of other stuff, I hope for Tian Guo Jammer or Hacker for YJ (Btw I looked at the Code One Page and see, they make no picture updates for the REM or Support boxes) but maybe CB will mix them into on of the Boosters.
Hopefully the TAG's, Blue Wolf YJ, Jotum resculpt/ repackage are probably first as mentioned, but it'd be nice to get the O12/CA ones first since they lack anything right now overall. Sphinx resculpt and Zeta are more important I think, but maybe that's just because I want them more. :) Part of it also depends on Starmada, but I doubt October will be too busy with big releases of anything. It's also possible after Starmada, the O12/DA Dire Foes would make sense.
I think the first TAG we will see is the Zeta, based on the CanCon update they want to prioritise the TAGs without models so we may see the Blue Wolf before the Cutter resculpt as well.
I think the two staff-Shaolin aged pretty well, the other two suffer from their guns. But my wishlisting: Sphinx or Noctifer I'd wish for something Nomads but right now we have almost everything and we'll get resculpts with C1 next year at the earliest.
It's funny, Miniature Market had the event Liang Kai on sale for like $5 last week. You could have been set for life between that and the generic release! :D
Since White Company should be out by then I'm guessing something Yu Jing and OSS. Particularly Devas and Shang Ji. Shang Ji of course double for WB/C1. If they came out with the Blue Wolf, it had better look really good because the rules for it are not. I'll also say Nourkias or Dukash. They might also be available to N4 by then.
On the wave of Drone resculpts, I guess it would make sense. Aren't the Nomad Zonds the only set of 1ed basic REMs still in production...? That being said, I'm waiting for the N4 to see if I should be getting another pack of these old ones for my Corregidor.
