Hi. I've been thinking about running 3x tiger list in our local league. Had anybody tried it before? I can't tell you, which scenario, will I play, because we roll for it before each game. You are allowed to bring 2 lists for each game. I tend to make one killy list and one with more specialists. This list has spec op (It's popular mechanic in local meta).

And another question. Does evo +3 to combat jump stack with +3 from controlled jump hacking program?

    Here is the list.

Oh. And another one. Is 9pts cost for zhanshi spec and 11pts for CG spec, a bug or a feature?

Absolutely a bug, probably from improperly removing Keistosu from the list. One can dream that those prices are to reflect Zhanshi and Celestial Guard, but that's not the case.

    • An EVO Hacking Device automatically provides a +3 PH Bonus to the Airborne Deployment Special Skill. This Bonus is not cumulative with the Controlled Jump Supportware Hacking Program, nor with the Bonus provided by other additional EVO Hacking Devices.

Well, +3 is still good and doesn't cost any orders.

When taking 3 AD thinking of them as a swarm isn't quite right (unless they're Yuan Yuan). You want three different tools that can exploit the biggest weakness first. After that the situation usually opens up for the others to become more useful.

I usually go for BSG, HMG, AHD/Paramedic when I have 3.

The BSG has two big situations with the template hitting lines (Links, G:Synch, etc. all need to stay with 8"; template range) or using AP on heavier targets that you get out of cover.
That's when you lead with this one.

The AHD gets a bunch of situations. Obviously specialist, and AD is one of the few ways to actually use an AHD instead of just area denial. Then Combi is the best weapon for DZ penetration because of the rangeband that can both come around total cover at close range and get a bit further out. Replacing it with the Paramedic (which I often do) saves resources but also adds an advantage. DZ penetrating is easier without worrying about hacking areas.
There's usually no reason to lead with taking objectives, but sometimes a DZ can be attacked right away. I usually don't lead with this unless I'm hacking.

HMG (not present on Tiger) is mostly used for two things. Opening up from behind on a massive advance hitting a bunch of guys out of cover. Good for aggresive links. But it can also pinpoint more powerful guys, an HMG on someone out of cover is one of the most powerful things. The long range really helps you get around what people prepare for.
I bring it up because most AROs against me are dodge, and half the time they don't get an ARO. The main difference is when fighting long range AROs the HMG is better than MSR, but the Hellcat often fails if you match rangeband and cover anyways so that's not that different. The situation the MSR has trouble in I'm already avoiding. So other than already having seen the Tiger MSR do well I think it would with my tactics as well.
But it is a bit more advanced so leaving that out for Spitfire would be fine.

My main problem with the Spitfire is that almost everything it can do can be done better by a specialized profile. A lot of time the Spitfire, unable to shoot across the board or come around total cover (without losing BS), ends up shooting cover to cover. This sucks for the Hellcat and is one of the profiles (other than Combi) that the Tiger is far superior. The 4 BS spread makes this proposition much better. Basically there is no best situation for the Spitfire, but there is no situation where it can't be used, unlike BSG and HMG/MSR.
You still prefer to open up on blind and flanked targets but with the shorter rangeband you can't accomplish this as much.

There are a few situations that you use two at once. One is using AHD on something hackable to IMM1 and blasting it out of cover out of sight so it can't do much.

Or if you could potentially see something with a DZ weapon you can drop to flank it first, then drop to flank again, forming a three point flank so it can't keep all 3 enemies in their line of sight. I've done this before with a Charontid, dropping to get it out of Impersonation to give it a LoS then dropped a HMG to blast it.

Anyways that's the experience I have so far, I need more games before I can finish a guide though.

You might want to try Tiger Sniper instead of Tiger Spitfire. The Sniper's job is to shoot the guys across the table next to *your* DZ in the back. It's sneaky.

The Spitfire is to help clean out the area around where you drop in, but BSG and Combi should be able to do the job without help.

I moved the Guilang up and a Tiger down to spread the loss of orders out a bit, and I changed the Baggage-bot for a Chaiyi since it is armed and easier to hide - this also makes room for the increase in points when they fix spec ops. I'd personally also consider replacing the EVO with a Weibing (for Sensor), upgrade the Spec Op to a CG and use the remaining 8 points to re-upgrade some stuff to proper specialists or guns - or possibly an extra order from a Baggage bot or upgrade Chaiyi to Weibing number 2.

I'm also strongly in favour of the Tiger MSR in general. Being able to place this man in a crucial spot can completely turn deployment around. With the EVO hacker in toe, this can also be done rather reliably.

A few ideas how to complement this kind of list approach:

    - EVO also unlocks Coordinated Hacking, so it could make sense to get a few additional hackers in. Tiger AHD is a natural fit for this list, retaining the important features of the Paramedic loadout while opening a lot of possibilities against enemy Armor and REMs. Dayong LT2 Hacker is a fantastic LT choice that synergizes nicely with this list. Two LT orders provide great efficiency for setting up supportware and/or re-camoing, while the Daoying will be a fairly safe LT in camo state prone on some rooftop. As MI, it gets FD1 this season, so you have a bit more flexibility while deploying it.

    - With all those Repeaters around, you'll also want something to hit enemy hackers. Between the Kanren, Ninja, Tian Gou and even the Pheasant we have some interesting KHD options to set up a nice hacking offense. Getting rid of enemy hackers early will allow you to bring in the Tigers unopposed and keep your EVO Pangu around for longer. Defensively, this can also be a tough nut to crack for your opponent. If your EVO is targeted, you can ARO with Breakwater and punch back with your KHD if you have repeater coverage. Keep in mind the EVO does not have a repeater though, so you need to cover it with another Repeater or put your KHD closeby.

    - EVO unlocks Overclock, so one might as well make use of it:
    [IMG]2
WÈIBĪNG Yaókòng Combi Rifle, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 16)
CHAĪYÌ Yaókòng Flash Pulse, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 8)

    0 SWC | 24 Points

These two are very hard to pass up for their sheer utility. Two orders, Sensor, Repeater/Sniffer coverage, FO and two flashpulses in ARO with Overclock enabled for just 24 points.

    - If you rely heavily on REMs, you should probably bring an engineer with YaoZao(s) to cover more of the board. Remote Presence is a nice boon to offset a REMs big footprint, so it's a good idea to leverage that skill. If you are on a tight budget, Monstruckers do just fine and bring some additional utility compared to the Gongcheng.

    - Lu Duan. This guy is often overlooked next to the monster that is the Rui Shi, but it brings some nice features that complement this kind of list particularly well. Holoprojector 2 with S4 means you can put 4 EVO Pangus on the table to throw you opponent off guard, each of which could potentially hide a nice Heavy Flamer for your opponent to enjoy. It also brings a Repeater, so it will benefit from Overclock and Assisted Fire. Two Heavy Flamer templates are a huge deterrent for most things and a MK12 with MSV 1 and Assistes Fire is nothing to scoff at either.

    - Son Bae Smart Missile launcher. Another underdog Remote that fits quite well here. Guided ammo is usually considered unreliable due to U-Turn, but with a strong hacking core you can mitigate that issue entirely. Having an AHD Tiger and an FO Guilang up the field will also net you some nice opportunities to set up that Spotlight/Targeted state on key enemies. It also works nicely with Kuang Shi and Biolocator. It's not easy to set up, but if you can manage it, it's incredibly satisfying (insert villainous laughter).
