Greetings everyone! I've recently discovered Infinity due to Ash Barker's YouTube channel and his play by play of the Operation Kaldstrom starter set. As such, I've dived head first into the game and splashed out on the Kaldstrom and Red Veil sets, as well as the O-12 action pack and a few extra blisters of miniatures. I've spent last month painting up these sets, though I've recently taken a break from miniatures to work on terrain, but I'm not sure if this is the right place to show off the progress on that. So enough waffling on from me, here's my progress so far on my various factions, starting with Yu Jing. Oh, I've also not decided on a basing style yet, so all my minis have unfinished bases.
Last ones for now. The Zhanshi went very won't due to some terrible quality primer, as did the PanO Fusiliers from the Kaldstrom set. Eventually I plan on stripping the paint off and redoing them, but for now they'll do as gaming pieces.
Did you use white primer and came out grainy? I've had that happen to me (GW primer). I've found that the problem goes away if I shake the can longer (3minute+).
I dunno if you care, but there's a race of aliens in the setting called the Umbra, if you wanted to cleave to your handle.
That's the one. I had some Grey Seer that I used on the rest of the miniatures that turned out much better. @Hecaton the ones from the Combined Army? Those are nasty if battle reports I've seen are any indication.
What wash did you use for the fur cape? It looks good. For the grainy armour, maybe you can dry brush it white with very very dry brush to make it look like crystalized water or snow?
Lastly, for now, are my Haqqislam. I've got a lot more minis to paint - some for all four factions (including the O-12 I've not started yet) but I've been on a terrain binge lately as I've got a huge backlog to work through. The Haqq minis so far are just those from Red Veil, but I've got about 500 points for them in total.
Good evening everyone, it's been a while, but I've been working on my O-12 recently. :) Let me know what you think.
I've also finished the bases on my Panoceania WinterFor For some reason I forgot to photograph Gunnar with all these. :(
