Hey guys, I recently got my hands on some wu ming which are great sculpts, but as I assembled them I found out that there are loadouts missing. The combo antipersonellmines and the multi-lgl. Especially the multi lgl loadouts seems to be really interesting gameplaywise. As I am a big fan of having the right weapon on the model I am thinking of converting the missing profiles. Do you know a way to get specific bits(I don't own a 3D-printer)or do I have to look for a multirifle with lgl and the clone it with bluestuff or steal it from the model?
I would go the blustuff clone or simply take another model's weapon away from them. Is there a certain loadout or two that you would want to convert first or are you just looking for 2-3 Multi-LGL models to use in lists?
I would like to add the missing profiles which are currently without an model to the wu ming. Is there even a yu jing multirifle with lgl somewhere on a model? The one from the mowang is too big.
I guess not, but I had some success applying 1/35-scale underbarrel grenade launchers on Infinity models (1st gen. Ghulam & Alguacile). Look around for 1/35 weapon kits, I used those made by Trumpeter.
Is a scale of 1/35 fitting in your experience? I always thought it to be a bit to huge and thus went for stuff in 1/48.
He has I found them on thingiverse. But I don't know anyone with a 3d printer. Well maybe one can rent a 3D printer somewhere. https://www.thingiverse.com/monstrousmakings/designs
Ask on WGC Infinity facebook page if someone from your country would be willing to print them for you. It literally costs cents to print those weapons. I mean I would gladly print them for you, but shipping would be like 10 euros, and that is basically the price of an entire mini.
I had no access to 1:48 weapon packs, so there was really no choice. But 1:35 accessories went IMO fine, and weapons were half-decent, as Infinity weapons tend to be - pretty often - oversized, compared to the human-sized models themselves (actually, a quality shared with many other wargaming model lines...). Accessories - in the Trumpeter weapon packs, there tend to be 2 sprues of 2 longarms each, and the most interesting for us, a sprue of accessories: underbarrel GLs, scopes / red dot sights, PEQ laser / flashlight combos and so on. I like to use these to differ my Forward Observer models from their basic brethern. Let me give you some examples: Spoiler: 1:35 rifle (G36) against 2nd sculpt Janissary Rifleman Spoiler: 1:35 Grenade Launcher on a 1ed Ghulam (center) Spoiler: 1:35 GL and FO kit on a 1st gen. Alguaciles Yup, I've given him a sight for the GL and a cap from another source, but we're not talking about that right now. The girl has a PEQ laser designator and a night vision device IIRC from the Trumpeter set, as well as kidney pouches and a scratchbuildt Repeater on her base, as she's my FO w/ Deployable Repeaters Alguacile I'm afraid I don't have a good picture of a 1:35 rifle on an Infinity model. Typicall,y the buttstocks are too long (or rather, most Infinity models have way too short stocks on their rifles), but cutting down a stock on a 1:35 long gun isn't much of an issue.
Very minor conversions, but I'm adding extra bits and details to my Bakunin to make them feel more cyberpunk. Both zeros got hoods, visors with an extra lens, plus the hacker got a Power Glove. The Prowlers also got rectangular visors, plus some spiky armor for extra flair.
And he's playing Duck Hunt! Your conversions look ace! Very 80s cyberpunk with those square visors and spiky bits.
Phew... finally got myself together to try and make a 'not flying' Kusanagi from old Kusanagi, Rev healer and Thorakitai legs Spoiler: Kusanagi Not as good as I expected, but at least I've finished it before Defiance is out.
Converted up a second Azra'il HMG from a Al Fasid HRL. (the HRL and smg went into the bits box for other projects. I used the leftover blackjack HMG for this one and sculpted up a new hand designating a target for his fire-team mates. The head didn't seem to be in the blister, but there's one thing I'm not short of after 30+ years in the hobby, it's spare heads).
Scout with Ojotnik. Arms and No. 4 Mk1 T from the Bolt Action British Commandos box. Need to tidy up the elbow a little and trim some flash off the plastics. Edit: Gah, just noticed the big hole in the chest, need to fill that.
Uparmored some Hafzas to use as Dashat Zuyong. Working on turning a random old highlander into a Zhencha based loosely on Abu Azrael. A lot of Greenstuff here...
