I just can't contemplate what the background of a Hassassin TAG would be. The only kind of TAGs they would use would be ones that Haqqislam absolutely doesn't have the tech base to maintain and sustain.
There's going to be a timeskip for N4, and Haqq is supposed to be excellent at both negotiation and biological engineering. I can see an S6 Symbiont licensed from the Tohaa if mission design in N4 still requires a TAG. Basically a "hulk-out" option for Hassassins for when they find out a whole town's worth of people has been working against their creed, or Sepsitorised or something, and the usual techniques won't cut it. However, an Asawira with Code One-style Regeneration should provide some extra staying power if N4 shies away from requiring particular unit classes for missions, and TAGs really aren't in the Hassassin doctrine right now.
To be fair, ITS needs to stop making missions that have inherently unfair victory conditions. Alternative ways to score points those points should be offered.
The latest N4 trailer revealed a new Haqqislam TAG! Not sure if it's actually going to be Hassassins, considering the colour scheme seems to indicate RTF, but you never know.
I looks great! Good call on the RTF color scheme! Of course, they announce this right after I finally purchase the Anaconda. At least I have a proxy now!
Looks like a Fasid Armor, that got integrated in a bigger frame. The little hands even have the shoulder pads.
People still think you need a robot the size of 2-store building to stab people in the streets efficiently? :/ So we're getting a cheap (or should I say expensive, given Tohaa pricing) Kiiutan knock-off? :P
Sometimes even the Hassassins want to let the enemies of the faith (and everyone else) know, who killed this guy I would rather have an S5 Heavy Infantry instead of a TAG in HB - and finally I never missed a TAG or S5 HI while playing HB because everything those two are able to accomplish, an Asawira can do also (formidable Shooter, very good in CQC, linkable, Specialist options).
it's not mandatory to play it or not but... the more profiles you get, the more lists you can make and the new more ways you can play your favorite Sectorial Army, and that is what all the people loves
I can understand this kind of thinking, and too be agree with it, still I really love the "hassasin" style without TAG. I'am more like @kesharq, "asawira" can do the trick, but of course, if "hassasin" continues being hassasin (more or less, a few changes will be unavoidables) I will not complain about a TAG in hassasin. Probably I will buy it, but not play with it. I'am a "pano player" too, I have every TAG in the faction, but I'am not a TAG player, in the past I include it only because I needed something strong to make damage and don't be "sepsitorized" (yes, in the old n2 days) hehehe. So, we will see what N4 bring to us, the hassasin players, and ejoy it :)
Coming from the shape of the armor plates I thought this was something for Yu Jing or mercenaries. Thought the head is.... questionable. Color scheme looks like an inverted IA to me. So i mistook the other HB artwork for the bespoken TAG, scratching my head how this would be a TAG. XD
Whether a TAG fits in the Hassassins game space would really depend on the TAG. There's a huge variety between TAGs. Saying "TAGs do/don't belong in Hassassins" is like saying "HI do/don't belong in Hassassins." I wouldn't want Hassassins to get an HMG TAG, but this one looks like it has a red fury so I can certainly see a thematic place for it in Hassassins. Maybe something like the Sphinx, but with regular camo instead of TO. Or Impersonation :-) Hassassins definitely needs something new to shake it up, right now it's largely eclipsed by Vanilla IMHO. That said, I doubt it's a Hassassins TAG, unfortunately.
Imagine, TAG-sized Viral CCW. That sure as hell will send a public message! Yeah I'm not too fond of the head, it's too flat and weirdly shaped I guess?
