Good day, I'm new to CodeOne and therefore new to the game as well. If I had this situation at CodeOne: "A" moves and attacks with combirifle. (normal ammo, R3) "A" rolls 3 dice and succeeds with all 3. (2,3,4) "B" reacts with 1 die and gets 5. Does 5 cancel all the other dice? If "B" rolls 4 instead of 5 does he also cancel all the dice? On the other hand, If "B" had missed the previous roll, how many salvation rolls would "B" make? 1,2,3? After solving the above, let's suppose that "A" receives another token and decides to repeat the move and attack. Could "B" react again towards that same character? Thank you
Results cancel all lower or equal results of the opponent, so the 5 would cancel the 2, 3, and 4. If B had rolled a 4 instead then the 2, 3, and 4 are still cancelled, but the ARO is also unsuccessful (so no hits, or Dodge movement). Had the ARO failed then the 2, 3, and 4 all cause hits and the target has to make 3 ARM rolls, potentially taking 3 wounds. If A had rolled 2, 3, 6, and B rolls a 5, then A's 2 and 3 are cancelled by the 5,then B's 5 is cancelled by the 6, so B only makes one ARM roll. There is no limit to the number of AROs a trooper can make in their Reactive Turn, but only one against each order. So if A tries again with a second order, B gets a new ARO.
Welcome! @colbrook answered all of your questions (and even explained how you might get less than the three ARM rolls), but if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask! :)
