Now I've got a game of Hunting Party against SWF and was hitting a wall with choices in WBA.
The problem wasn't the lack, but the prevalence of options, especially having come from running IA.

I thought I'd settled on a list until I remembered Blue Wolf has Akrylat-Kanone and Full Auto...

This is the madness I've come up with and need to sanity check that I've not completely lost the plot:

    Blue Wolf Hunting Party──────────────────────────────────────────────────[IMG]10
GŬILÁNG Lieutenant Combi Rifle, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (2 | 25)
BLUE WOLF AP Spitfire, Heavy Flamethrower, Akrylat-Kanone / DA CC Weapon. (2 | 89)
[IMG] BLUE WOLF PILOT Light Flamethrower / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 0)
TIAN GǑU (1st Section) Boarding Shotgun, Grenades, Jammer / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 25)
PANGGULING (Minesweeper, Repeater) Electric Pulse. (0 | 8)
TIGER SOLDIER Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 25)
    YĚ MĀO Missile Launcher, Chain-colt / Pistol, CC Weapon. (1.5 | 28)
LÉI GŌNG Shock Marksman Rifle, Nanopulser, Blitzen / Breaker Pistol, Knife. (0 | 34)
TIAN GǑU (1st Section) Boarding Shotgun, Grenades, Jammer / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 25)
TIAN GǑU (1st Section) Hacker (Killer Hacking Device) Combi Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 23)
    MECH-ENGINEER Combi Rifle, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15)
    YÁOZĂO Electric Pulse. (0 | 3) 5.5 SWC | 300 PointsOpen in Infinity Army

    • Guilang camo Lt.
    • Blue Wolf duo with Jammer TG holo as something hackable and threatening (Shang Ji specialist/HRL or Qiang). Use it to tempt out hackers for jamming.
    • Baggage bot to reload Blue Wolf AK (& Lei Gong Blitzen)
    • Tiger for hunting enemy Lt/engineer
    • Ye Mao Haris which has Lei Gong for anti-MSV shenanigans and a TG B2 jammer
    • TG KHD to bring REMs and hack any AHD near the TAG. If desperate, Cybermask & YOLO up to push a button or ADHL something.
    • Engineer to unstick people when it all goes to shit
Thoughts? I've noticed the shell games with scary looking Holoprojectored models throws off opponents tactics and points guessing quite nicely and can hide the Tiger.

Camo LT might not be your best Choice when Playing this Mission, considering how much SWC the guilang costs, and how fragile he is, along with the fact you have to disclose which camo marker hides the Lieutenant due to the Reinforced Tactical Link Rule.

I honestly believe the Tian Gou with Combi to be a better choice as part of a Link Team than the Shotgun Guy.

I would use the HunDun in Place of the Ye Mao, He is Cheaper to ARO with ,comes in Camo Marker also if you bring YeMaos you should bring the Haris.

I would Pay the 2 extra points to make your tiger carry Combi + LFT, pesky TO Camouflages can be downright scary with your list.

Also, Bring a Second YaoZao if you have only 1 enginerd in this list.

Consider a Second one, Ye Mao Haris might also seem appealing.

Tian Gous are Spec Trained Units, they do not receive ADHL, they get Stun Pistol just like everyone else who carries a pistol.

You’re going in Quite Light with this setup btw, Take a Look at Shangers or Qian Gao.
Consider as well characters count as veteran in this season and thus get an ADHL.

If nothing else, get a Second Yaozao :3

Edit: Took a Look at the army, tian gou, Hundun and Guilang are Spec Trained.
BLUE WOLF IS A MECHANIZED TROOP, SO HE DOESN’T GET ADHL! I Repeat BLUE WOLF DOESN’T Get an ADHL!

Consider Shangers + Jujaks + Wildcards FT Core For Hunting Down, Tiger is a must, Ye Maos Can do The ADHL thingie as well. Liang Kai Cheapest ADHL.

Chillax, Gero. No TAG gets ADHL, they're all Mechanized (except Avatar) and the Akrylate-Kanone can do an admirable job, same as Jammers. It's all fine and well to suggest 50+ points in upgrades (also, specifically Shangers is probably a bad idea for this mission since they're Line Infantry and doesn't bring decent Stun/IMM/ISO equipment on their own), but you also need to consider where they go and how they fit into the Plan, and what to cut and why.
Also, why should he bring another Yaozao as a priority? He's got three targets for glue: LT in Camo which will hopefully never get Discovered, Tian Gou KHD which you yourself suggested might not be a great idea, and the Engineer himself. Everything else will be more optimally dealth with using HMGs and Spitfires, so that leaves repairing the Blue Wolf as the main concern for the Engineer which can easily be handled with a single Yaozao so as not to over-commit on low-yield tasks.

From my own experience playing this mission, the Guilang LT is a very good choice, especially if terrain allows you to hide it in an awkward spot. Since some of the standard tactics for removing camo can result in the death of the target, your opponent won't want to use those on an LT and SWF also doesn't have Jammers which is a boon. The only issue is that he eats so much SWC.
I would personally try and find points for a Daofei LT, but that's actually quite hard as you're looking at 50 points that'll mostly be passive for most of the game. Oh, but if you had access to Daoying in this sectorial...

I would possibly try and find a setup that allows you to bring Adil and a Tian Gou in the same Fireteam to do a combo Sensor-Jam for pesky TO camo, but that'll require dropping either Lei Gong or the Blue Wolf. The biggest problem I see with this list is actually how order-inefficient the Blue Wolf is when it's re-arming from the same order pool and how immobile it gets since unfortunately the Panggo FTO isn't a FireTeam Operator in this sectorial.

Of course, if you do decide to recruit a bunch of Zhanshi to inflate orders, then a Zhanshi LT will make for an excellent combo of budget LT and bait (seriously, there's going to be very little wanting to get near enough to it for fearing a Tian Gou - beware WildParrots found on Vargar and Locusts!)

Thanks for the thoughts. Definitely some ideas I'll consider changing.

As I should have made clearer, this kinda all stems from the question: "Can I make a decent Hunting Party list around a B2 adhesive weapon TAG?" Definitely bordering on meme.
Most of the choices have been built around that huge investment in points (+ baggage reloader).

As @Mahtamori mentioned, I've had fantastic experience with camo Lt for this mission before and the Daofei is just too expensive with the TAG. I weighed having the TAG and the jammers & bonus ADHL to balance the SWC cost.

I agree with the combi change for the Tian Gou in the Ye Mao Haris, although he should never really be shooting. Good point about the classification for the KHD, I must have got carried away. Still a useful button pusher.

The intention was to Haris (Ye Mao, Lei Gong, Tian Gou). While he doesn't have camo, he opens the option for Haris, has MSV for all the mimetism in SWF, and packs an AP Spitfire.

If I could find the points I would! Love my tigers with portable BBQ option! Luckily there's no real TO camo in SWF and his main target is going to be a mimetism engineer or a Lt.

For the rest, I think Mahtamori answered everything on a similar wavelength to my thoughts.

This struck me as well. I don't really envisage having to do it much but the option will be a threat. Actual FTO option would have been the dream.

I played around with replacing the Guilang and Ye Mao Haris with a Zhanshi 5-core (Lt, ML, MSR, TG Jammer, & Lei Gong) and an additional 8-point REM or Zhanshi.
Meant I could move the engineer and baggage bot into their own group and get a couple extra orders in the main group for the TAG, but loses me the MSV, mimetism, ADHL, FD, and mobility of the Ye Mao.

Ultimately, I'm used to LI from playing IA so I'll see how the Ye Mao option goes but definitely try it later.

I completely forgot about Blue Wolf carrying Akrylat Kannone, my bad.

The reason why I thought about Shangers wasn’t actually him, but the Jujaks that have veteran classification so they get ADHLs and a good move Speed, I always am super cautious about yaozao/yudbots (ISS Habit).

Sorry about being so pushy, however your Ye Mao is the Missile Launcher guy (in the above list) so I thought you could shave off those 2 points with the HunDun who also has BS13 but then again the Ye Mao AP Spitfire might be a better option.

It’s been a while since I played this mission.
However by explaining your list along with Mahtamori, I learned something, Thank you guys! Do tell us how the match went and Good luck! :3

Bugger, good point! Must have swapped it in the points juggling.

Will let you know how it plays out, hopefully my opponent doesn't run a Jotum again this time!

I think WB is actually good for this mission. We now have more veterans, elites and characters that get an ADHL and they can be in a link with them. Elite: Tiger Soldier, Ye Mao. Veterans: All characters, Daofei, Jujak. Then some Mutli-Weapons, Madtraps, and Jammers.

To me, a Daofei AHD is good on all fronts, Veteran (Gets ADHL) hacking programs that can do the job, Multi-Rifle for any situation, surprise shot of course. He's the star of the show. There's even the possibility of using him as a Lt. I don't think it would be expected.

The Jujak is a Veteran too, (which makes me think they outrank Shang Ji). You can form a small or big link with them, even a Duo could do well. Then you can also have an Engineer that can help anyone that is immobilized themselves.

Of the characters, Lei Gong is fantastic. He gets an ADHL, has a Blitzen, moves fast, then Albedo and MSV1. A great hunter. He can also Duo with Jujak

Ye Mao can be good due to being Elite, MSV1, Super Jump and a Haris. Then also their own Engineer.

Tian Gao then have Jammers and Madtraps.

It was a good game in the end but unfortunately I lost 4-2.

Everything did what it needed to turn 1 and the Tiger took out his engineer and doctor. I foolishly let my Guilang get isolated by a Wild Parrot though and that put me on the back foot that I never recovered from.

Akrylat-Kanone sticking a Karhu engineer got me some way to pulling it back but an awkwardly hidden Fusilier in a link, combined with a really tricky map, saw my TAG, Ye Mao, and Tian Gou die to unlucky combi rifles as they raced to get to him

My TG died by 1 point of armour, just before he'd use the last order of my third turn to get into jammer range of the Lt.

I probably spent all my luck on sticking/killing the KoJ and Hospitaller tbh.

    Reflections:
Ultimately, the TAG didn't need the reload from the baggage bot. It's a terrifying piece of kit on this mission when the opponent is unlikely to have a large hacking presence. Especially when you can Duo it with a KHD disguised as something more tempting. Take the B2 long range glue shot as you race him up into the opponent's face. Then spend orders on the models that can actually hunt down the opponent. Let the opponent try to dig him out and ignore actual scoring models.

Guilang was perfect. I goofed by having him somewhere that the Nokken and Locust could threaten and I got spooked and revealed him. Definitely make the opponent work to come to you through the...

...Ye Mao Haris with Lei Gong and TG jammer. As mentioned, Lei was designed for this mission and thwarting all the SWF MSV & mimetism. Ye Mao is a total toolkit and I'm a big fan.

Tiger is, and always will be, incredible.
