Gen Con May not happen this year, but there was a plan... What do you think we’re going to see for Gen Con (besides N4?) Personally, I don’t think we’ll see a two person starter for N4. I kind of expect that sort of product to be exclusive to Code 1. Perhaps a big starter (like JSA)? I remember hearing that an O-12 sectoral is on the horizon for 2020. What I’m actually expecting is something big in a different way. I think we’ll see all four Code 1 TAGs hit at that time. Cutter, Blue Wolf, Zeta and Sphinx in one big drop. The TAGs are noticeably absent from Code 1 currently. It’d be neat if they all got introduced in one fell swoop.
I doubt we'll see a big box, there'll be the fancy N4 hardcover, exclusive Preorder miniature, and convention exclusive mini. There are rumours of a metal Shona Carano for N4/Aristeia! as she's in the background for N4 as a tutor for the reformed KoJ. (the last couple of GC exclusives have been for both games). We might see the new Cutter and Blue Wolf, but CombArmy and O-12 are still missing their remotes box for C1. My thoughts: - N4 Hardcover with limited edition mercenary miniature (so usable for all Vanillas). - Gen Con exclusive Shona Carano - "Advance Pack" Casanova vs. Dukash Dire Foes featuring sexy Morat Murse HVT. There's also the Narrative ITS pack on the way that hopefully makes an appearance so I can order them all at once.
We could see Cutter, Blue Wolf, Zeta Unit, Sphinx? Hopefully with their pilots/remotes included. Obviously N4, possibly featuring the new O12 Sectorial. If they did a Psi division, maybe the Varangians and some PsiCOps. Last year was GenCon for Wildfire, Spiral for Adepticon. This year was Kaldstrom for Adepticon, so maybe Psi Cov Ops for GenCon. Of course the books toss a wrench to that. Also, the other thread covered June releases, did we skip July releases?
I'm curious to see if N4 will be delayed if gencon is called off (which btw, I'm fairly certain gencon will not happen. Even if it did, I wouldnt go and i attended ) I can see it going either way. As for releases, definitely a nice new book, a pre-order/con exclusive and hopefully a handful of usual new releases. maybe 6-man O-12 sectorial box, blisters for the code one armies, etc etc?
I hope they treat Carano just like they did the YJ monk, allowing FLGS to preorder and sell them directly.
There are no rules for Pilots in C1 and we know that only TAG specific rule is that they cannot go prone.
IJW has clarified that the lack of pilot rules in C1 is intentional, nor sure if it was on the forum or Facebook.
Yep, the writing was on the wall when the event catalogue was delayed indefinitely, I just don't think there was a way to do it safely this year. I'd already chosen to roll my ticket over to next year as our borders are closed until after August. Hopefully there will be some sweet "Lost convention" merch released, and they have time to create some cool online events.
