While they renamed Electric Pulse to PARA CCW (and edited its rules quite a bit), I imagine that the Adhesive Launcher and Akrylat-Kanone will keep their existing names in N4, so it's not like all references to glue are going to be gone from the game. And we've never actually had the chance to read a fluff entry on the Riotstopper to explain by what means it's meant to be immobilizing its victims.
My vote is for IM CCW and IM ammo. When the profile for Adil was teased, I thought para ccw was paratrooper ccw, I was also confused.
The problem with using IM or STUN as the ammo name is there are two kinds of immobilized: the kind you escape with dodge (physically) and the kind you escape with reset (mentally). I think GLUE would would be great for the physical stuck in place, and consistent with adhesive weapons we anticipate will remain in N4.
I don't think Para CCW is a glue stick and the Riotstopper is probably an electronic paralytic pulse rather than glue - based simply by the theory that spreading glue over a large area wouldn't be a riotstopper, it'd be a riotsuffocator. IMM CCW wouldn't be bad. Sure, there's quantronic IMM as well, but it's close enough. Or IMM-A CCW.
Turns out I was right. Riotstopper is a glue gun: A BS Weapon that places a Direct Template using Adhesive Special Ammunition (this Ammunition projects a charge of extremely strong, ultra-fast-hardening cement designed to immobilize the target) What are the implications for C1 vs. N4 on this? In C1 it is para ammo, but N4 it's ADH?
Para ammo works identically to Adhesive, PH-6 roll to avoid being immobilised, but you can now escape with a Dodge-6 as well as being freed by an Engineer. It's Adhesive with a generic name so it can also represent electric pulse and other immobilising munitions, I expect ADHLs and Akrylat Kanones to get Para ammunition in N4.
I would imagine it stays Paralysis, so that you don't have one type of ammo for Electric Pulse and one for AKs/ADHLs/RSes.
Except their brand new article refers to adhesive special ammo. I like going with one name for the effect (vide supra), because it'll be really annoying to transition new players from C1 to N4 if there are random terminology changes.
Much of that article appears copy/pasted from the existing wiki, I'd guess the Adhesive part slipped though.
The articles talked about things like shotguns having impact templates, used the name "electric pulse" rather than "para ccw", etc. It looks like it's almost entirely N3 content.
I mean, if that's true (and seems reasonable that it is) why are they releasing not one, not two, but three articles in their weapon description series for N4/C1 that are not accurate?
