Ah. So that’s how they’re getting rid of the issue this time. It’s neat that they’ve changed movement so that it’s: Measure where you can get to. The 5.1 Dodge movement doesn’t trigger mines, gets declared and resolved in 5.1, and both Active and Reactive get it. Declare where you’re going. If you’re stubborn and declare somewhere you can’t reach, you don’t go there. Absolutely no falling (not even from Jump, even if you have Super Jump). Definitely interesting changes.
"The Dodge movement during the 5.1 step of the Order Expenditure Sequence does not generate AROs or trigger Deployable Weapons or Equipment." Wonderful clarification!!!
They seem to have removed falling from C1, makes Super-Jump more difficult to use for ultra-animé attacks (Edit: Ninjaed, of course)
Lots of models that should have 'hidden deployment' from N3 or the Kaldstrom videos don't, but the Ninjas (not to be confused with the Kunai) profile in Yu Jing does have Hidden Deployment. I assume this is a typo and should not be on the Ninjas, b/c if I control+f "Hidden" or "Hidden Deployment" in the Code One Rule book pdf, i don't see that rule.
Let me just say that I love the equipment layout. I hope that gets rolled into the "big" army builder as well.
Android app finally live: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...jerT3Pn5dEjPKzz02Tpz9eVv9Ls0g47TaggaEDraI-5l8
Bostria said on Mayacast that there was a Softcover planned for May/June but that was before Coronageddon fully hit.
Is the new Army 7 app going to be used for N4 as well down the line? I don't have armies to play C1 with, but if it's the same app planned for N4 I can download it now to familiarize myself with it.
You don't go there and since you declared something you can't do, you get shuffled into an Idle... nice...
Doctored troopers automatically stand up. You can cancel Prone by declaring Jump (or any other Movement skill)
As far as I can tell, you’re allowed to be Prone while jumping and climbing, as well. The effects of Prone have been reduced to two things: Half movement Silhouette(X), so you’re more likely to be obscured from sight. They removed the whole “elevated and prone” mechanic. But I might be missing something...
I don't get it. Maybe this isn't the place to post this...but what exactly is different? Watched the "demo" and it seems like the exact same video and rules the were released for the Ice Storm/Red Veil/Cold Front. etc boxes. Is this Xfinity? People in the U.S. will get the joke....
While it very similar to N3 quick start rules, they include more examples and explainations. They also clean up some rule interactions and streamline a few things. Hopefully, this will make it much easier for new players. Some people saw the main N3 rules and were overwhelmed by how massive it was. Also, some on the more problematic issues are not even in code one (Smoke).
