Mayby they should have learned bit more than this particullary overused slogan?

Still KotHS are imho in bad place, and could really use some love (or anything).

Some people to think that the JSA movement as a way to improve the game style or the design which are somehow constricted by Yu Jing yet what I see is that the new super samurai robot seems to be another useless CC HI that still uses Su Jian model pieces, the Domaru are Terracota with sengoku era armour pieces strapped on top and the new biker character carries a damn scythe.

Doesn't seem this is going to improve the gameplay or the design unless they get a special rule that covers the entire battlefield in smoke or the Ryuken end up being better than posthumans, which being section 9 ripoffs as they are, they should be.

Yea, but more ;) I know it was by a thin margin, but it makes quite interesting predictions regarding the upcoming campaign :) I wouldn't be really surprised if Nomads gather larger playerbase than PanO.

Especially after Tunguska hit the shelvs.

Since Tunguska is planned for end of 2018 you shouldn't be concerned. :) @eciu

Does anyone know yet if this counts as one of the 4 Ns released this year? Bostria said 5 new sectorials but this is just JSA perhaps in a different style, but its not really NEW. Moreso just an update and change to an existing sectorial. If its not, then should we still expect IA for Adepticon?

This big JSA box seems as likely candidate for first big N.

Especially because they are obviously going to make an Infinity Week on BOW about them.

Might be old news and no longer current by now, but I do believe that Bostria stated MRRF was being transformed into something that's not a Sectorial, but more like a pan-Ariadnan mercenary force with profiles accessible to any Ariadnan sub-faction and that this transformation was extra complicated and required a lot of extra testing.

Well, yeah, exactly. They do have to develop Yu Jing a bit more than the current kind of no-faced evil (police) force. That'll attract some customers, but ultimately not as many as the other factions. Mostly the milquetoast quality needs to be dispelled, if JSA is removed from Yu Jing the "best at melee" is going away with them because a large number of MA4+ and CC23+ are JSA. Best at HI doesn't really go all that far when HI are as expensive as they are, when the support for them are arguably a faction weak spot, and when honestly other factions have such great quality HI.
So yeah, something would need to be done about their image (not necessarily gameplay! Image is important, but image can be gained through gameplay alterations or accentuation). I mean, if Yu Jing suddenly got a few really good White Hackers and Killer Hackers instead of the plethora of mediocre Assault Hackers, that alone would make them stand out.

Said guys with access to KHD to protect thier HI ;D Plus Hi link with Deflector L2 :D

I'm sorry but PanO has more "AHD only specialist" than Yu-Jing ;P And most of your AHD have either WIP13-14 or/and camo for this nice surprise attack :)

(not to mention most AHD profiles also have a KHD one)

So what? What does Pan-O have to do with Yu Jing's future potential attraction problems? I'm genuinely confused, if your neighbor complains that their newly blue painted house is bleaching in the sun, it's like you'd then say that your house's blue is worse off when your house is painted yellow. No shit it's less blue, it's not meant to be blue in the first place.

Eh... After sleeping over with this thought, I came to a conclusion that it may be not a terrible decision in the long run. Separation of two practically different armies (YJ and JSA, or even Ariadna and CHA, like some suggest) means that vanilla will get their own replacements for some vital units, possibly "staffing" one of those new sectorials in the process, meanwhile the newfound NA2 sectorials will be able to receive nice toys without concerning CB with Vanilla faction balance.
Depending on execution, this may be a win for the game.

There's still a concern about people who use some of relevant models in vanilla lists, but that's kinda the point of singling out those specific sectorials: it's not that common, and vanilla is different enough that branching out into 2, now separate, armies is something that is worth considering from both player's and collector's perspectives.

Yeah, Funduq Sultanate are those guys who organized Qapu Khalqi as a means to secure their trade establishments. Ramah belongs to Al-Medinat Caliphate (not sure if I spelled that correctly though).

What he is saying is that army like MO relies on HI even more, while having harder time to support it. Considering that even MO does decently in events (for its representation, that's it), it is understandable that some people don't agree with "HI + lack of HI support" being something that kills YJ rather than some other issues.

I know that's his eternal tune, but that has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Military Order doesn't struggle at all in the same way, and Eciu is only focusing on a minor detail instead of the (potential) problem. To be blunt, Military Orders have their military orders to give them an eternal strong identity and as much as Knights In Space is a trope, it does have attraction power. I don't think the same can be said for a People's Army that's explicitly trying to break their inherent trope of massed light infantry hordes.
So to reiterate, but my suggestion that reforming Yu Jing to have good heavy infantry with great support (an honour which arguably falls to probably Haqq or Nomads) is only one suggestion to fixing the problem. Currently Yu Jing is sort of cheap heavy infantry with bad support, but it doesn't do cheap well, either (since basic HI costs around 30), so focusing on that part might also be a solution, though designing variety of HI that's cheap enough to mantle the burden of light infantry is much more difficult to achieve.

I playing YuJing just as my second faction, always felt them quite good, really like the available HI profiles and think they do quite well with gui lang and kuang shi

Hey guys!(or whatever you self-identify as)

I can’t be the only one that’s extremely happy with CB making not so financially sound changes to infinity?

Isn’t it just plain awesome that there is a company that makes decisions that risk pissing players off(and ultimately losing them as players) in attempts to drive infinity’s story forward?

In a time where companies use AI to map out players habits and make them purchase more. A time with loot boxes with slim chances of getting the good stuff. In this dire future we have one company that says “f**k it” and makes a huge leap of faith.

That actually makes risky decisions in the hopes of making the game even better, instead of just plain maxing out their profits?

I don’t know about you, but that actually sounds like a HOBBY to me. It reminds me of being a kid, playing RPG’s and having events happening to my character that I didn’t always enjoy, but in the end I remember those characters fondly, their flaws and misfortunes, their struggles made them interesting.

Sepsitorizing Ko Dali was one of the best decisions CB has made, giving infinity their own Kerrigan/Cypher/Judas and giving players the opportunity to feel like they are part of a story. Rather than a money grinding non-provocative machine.

Now go CB, go and anger people, remind them life isn’t always fair, nor a box of chocolates.

That's an interesting point, as long as this works out in the end and makes Infinity a better game.
I'm open for gameplay implications, like I said - it's a chance for both YJ and JSA to gain. But I would like to say that simply "driving plot forward" is not enough of an improvement for me, personally. Because, well, I have a hard time giving rat's arse about stories that are ultimately not ours. And when it comes to our ones - we can move them onward ourselves, thank you. That is, if and when we care to.

But the potential is definitely there. So I'm looking forward what bones CB are going to break this year hopefully to ensure they will grow together correctly this time.

When you say anger people you mean Yu Jing players as we are the only ones who always get fucked by this "cool" story advances.

Also you say this is a leap of faith that has nothing to do with sales, but when I look at the JSA box I see every possible trope to attract otaku crammed inside.

    - Giant Samurai Robot, Check
    - Ghost in the Shell rip off, Check
    - Cyber ninja in Metal Gear TO Camouflage, Check
    - Cat eared biker girl in Akira bike, Check, although those last two where already in the game

No wonder that has been described as selling like cocaine
