I'm looking at grabbing a new sectoral as a painting exercise while at home. Concidering I already have 5 playable forces I don't want to open up to a whole new faction. I'm looking for a playable force of 10-15 models. Ideally LI with a couple swappable models.

I already have IA which would be the perfect fit for this. I always liked the aleph post-human concept, but don't see it being great LI.

    Any suggestions.

Pretty much any sectorial can do Limited Insertion just fine. The inclusion of fireteams actually makes it easier at times, because it means fully half your list is protected by fireteam bonuses.

    Of the ones I've played:
    - Imperial Service can do Wu Ming cores or Su-Jian duos or trios.
    - Invincible Army very much lends itself to LI, as you described.
    - Bakunin has Riot Grrl or Moira cores plus whatever you want, since they're reasonably priced.
    - OperationS Subsection does LI quite well. Yadu cores or Dakini Cores with big premium centerpieces (Marut, Asuras)
    - Japanese Secessionists have Tanko/Domaru cores, Karakuri haris, and AVA2 O-Yoroi.
    - Ikari Company is a bit limited, but can squeeze a lot of quality HI into a list. Druze and Wu Ming cores, plus Karakuri
    - Perhaps most surprisingly, Dahshat Company can do LI quite well if they wish. Maghariba + Zuyong Core for lots of Tactical Awareness gets a lot of orders and resilience for LI.

So, bottom line, any sectorial can do Limited Insertion if you wish. I'd just pick whichever faction has your favorite 10-15 models.

@KestrelM1 I'm leaning to OSS for now. I like the concept of dakini core and post human\assura. it plays differently compared to my other sectoral and since its not humans I can play up the color schemes. Another HI fire core list doesn't bring a different play style to my collection (HB, QK, IA, Ikari, Shasvastii). I've also got a tag options in my collection already. The Yuda look interesting, but point intensive so I can't swap in other center piece models. I want to keep the model for a playable for around 15.

Tunguska is excellent for LI. Lots of fun builds around a hollow man core that can switch out zondnauts, spektrs or characters.

    For Example...

HOLLOW MEN (Specialist Operative) Boarding Shotgun / Breaker Pistol, Knife. (0 | 30)
STEMPLER ZOND FTO (Super-Jump) Combi Rifle, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 18)
PERSEUS (Super-Jump) Breaker Combi Rifle, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / 2 Pistols, DA CC Weapon. (0 | 34)
SPECTOR (AD: Combat Jump) Boarding Shotgun, Nanopulser, Drop Bears / Pistol, E/M2 CC Weapon. (0 | 33)
MARY PROBLEMS Hacker (Forward Deployment L1) Submachine Gun + Zapper, Pitcher / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 30)

    ZONDBOT Electric Pulse. (0 | 3)

There are a lot of 30ish point options that switch this build up quite a bit.

@jfunkd interesting... looks like a solid list with a minimal purchase. One of the things that bugged me about the OSS post humans is that I would have to get 2 boxes for 8 models, but only be able to field 3 at a time.

I'll admit that I've proxied my Proxy models because I didn't like several of the box Proxy models. Daysus or Nagas make good mk2 substitutes, and the sophotech without her base ring makes a good mk1, plus she comes with the netrods you'll likely be using.
The Rudra in a Yadu Harris or pseudo-haris core is also a good piece I've found that complements a Asura going up the other side of the board.

I'm still humming and hawing on this. I don't really need a new sectoral, but if I do pull the trigger I'm probably going to stick with OSS. Their play style is more unique than Tungusta. I'm working up a couple list and only see my self playing Mk 4& 5 proxies with a need to find a mk2 hacker model. I might play a mk3 but can use the asura spitfire sculpt if needed.

    I'm tempted to try this.

I bought the Mk1-3 box of posthumans, but don't like the look of the mk4-5 box, so will skip that. In either case I'm more looking for a posthuman to stand for what I want than having the specific one I might use. Not sure how much you want to lean towards the look of the new team vs the effectiveness overall, or the playstyle. Half the fun of the Asura, IMO, is having this little figure that's tougher than most HI.

Thematically, I just love the Apsara too.

I like Tunguska, but don't feel like spending all the money to get what I want. Zondnautica is a very cool model though, lots of coolness to them.

The easiest way to spend the last 2 points for that list is to upgrade the combi dakini to the paramedic dakini, especially as this model comes in the dakini SWC box with the HMG. That'l give you another fast specialist, and a chance to maybe get Trisha back up if it's a bad situation to go Dogged in. (Related, I use the Chandra Spec-ops as a good model for Trisha)
Other tweaks to consider is swapping the deva hacker, net rod & 1 Kiranbot for a Danavas HD+ & a combi dakini. This will allow you to put supportware on the dakini HMG safely, as doing it from within the fireteam exposes all fireteam members to an ARO they can't respond to.

We might need to take things over to the Aleph forum soon, but if you want to free up some SWC, to fit in the MSV2 Deva spitfire for instance, the HD+ LT2 Asura has done good work for me as an attack piece, and is 1.5 SWC less than the spitfire one.

Quite the opposite actually. If there's one thing you learn very quickly when playing LI it's that bodies are just as valuable as orders, because at some point you'll probably need to throw something between you/the objectives and your opponent, but every casualty you take is 10% of your order pool going up in smoke.
Now posthumans are just the perfect fix for that, bodies you can just throw away without losing orders. Like, the MK2 sniper is quite arguably the best ARO piece in the game for LI lists. And OSS also has the arjuna and devabots if you want some more disposable troops for close range defense.

So yeah, I'd definitely recommend OSS, especially if you played Invincible before as they're 2 sides of the same coin (order without bodies/bodies without orders).

I would avoid Netrods in LI, and here's why.

Netrods work great in high order-count strategies. They have low costs (4 points), they have a great benefit (an order), and in a high-order count list you have two advantages: 1) you have the advantage of additional coverage on the table, making it harder for your opponent to destroy weaker netrods without first needing to deal with some other stronger ARO, and 2) opponents will spend extra orders to maneuver and destroy them, keeping them away from valuable active turn pieces, but with a low cost to you, because they represent a very low percentage of your total orders.

The problem is you lose those last two benefits in an LI situation. Your ability to control the table is still strong because you're playing Aleph, but your actual ability to cover a netrod in the middle of the table, or one that fails its roll, is significantly lower. The second issue is a problem because while losing 1 order in a 16 order list is a not a huge issue, losing 1 order in a 10 order list is a much bigger problem. I would easily spend 2-3 orders on turn one to remove your netrod (regardless of what the order economy of my list looks like), because that will cost you 3 orders through the course of the game.

Specifically to this list, I would recommend dropping the Netrod, Trisha and Proxy4 (56 points) in favor of the Proxy Mk1 Engineer, a Dakini MSR, and another filler body for your Dakini link (you should have 27 points left, so Sensor Deva stands out to me). The MSR is especially important here, because right now the only tool you have to control the table reactively is the threat of the Proxy Mk2 popping out with a Boarding Shotgun or MSR.

Personally I love LI vanilla Aleph. OSS Robots for padding orders and handling objectives, ASS assets for kicking ass. My go-to list looks something like this :

Achilles Spitfire Lieutenant | Lieutenant, Nanopulser, Spitfire, Pistol / EXP CCW (75)
Patroclus ODD Spitfire | ODD: Optical Disruptor, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades, Spitfire, Pistol / EXP CCW (57)
Myrmidon Officer BSG Chain of Command | Chain of Command, Nanopulser, Boarding Shotgun, Eclipse Grenades, Pistol / AP CCW (35)
Proxy Mk.2 Assault Hacker | Assault Hacking Device, Nanopulser, Boarding Shotgun, Pistol / Knife (21)
Proxy Mk.1 Engineer | Engineer, Combi Rifle, Nanopulser, Pistol, D-Charges / Knife (10)
Yudbot Servant | Electric Pulse (3)
Dakini Tacbot Paramedic | Paramedic, MediKit, Combi Rifle / Electric Pulse (15)
Dakini Tacbot Paramedic | Paramedic, MediKit, Combi Rifle / Electric Pulse (15)
Danavas Hacker Hacker Plus | Hacking Device Plus: UPGRADE: Maestro, Combi Rifle, Pitcher, Breaker Pistol / Knife (25)
Daleth Rebot Combi | Combi Rifle / Electric Pulse (17)
Lamedh Rebot Repeater | Flash Pulse / Electric Pulse (8)
Lamedh Rebot Repeater | Flash Pulse / Electric Pulse (8)
Proxy Mk.5 Observer | Forward Observer, Submachine Gun (2), E/M Grenades, Nanopulser, Pistol / Knife (10)

It can deal with MSV, it can deal with camo spam. Its fast and thus order efficient. Once/if the opponent recovers from A&P’s alpha strike, your specialist are a huge nuisance. And its fairly simple to Exchange A&P for a Marut and a chain myrmidon to wreak havoc.

Sounds like your mind is already made up, but this list for Bakunin LI can be fun under narrow circumstances:

    Jurisdictional Command of Bakunin
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────

    [IMG]9 [IMG]1 [IMG]1
KUSANAGI Lieutenant MULTI Rifle + Light Flamethrower, E/M Grenades / Pistol, Shock CCW. (+1 | 44)
REVEREND MOIRA HMG / Pistol, Shock CCW. (1.5 | 34)
    REVEREND MOIRA Combi Rifle + E/Mitter / Pistol, Shock CCW. (0 | 28)
REVEREND MOIRA MULTI Rifle / Pistol, Shock CCW. (0 | 30)
REVEREND HEALER Boarding Shotgun, Nanopulser / Pistol, EXP CCW. (0 | 32)
REVEREND CUSTODIER Hacker (Hacking Device Plus) Combi Rifle + Pitcher / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 34)
    REAKTION ZOND HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 26)
    SIN-EATER HMG / Pistol, CCW. (2 | 33)
    SIN-EATER HMG / Pistol, CCW. (2 | 33)
MORLOCK Chain Rifle, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, DA CCW. (0 | 6)

    7 SWC | 300 Points

    Open in Infinity Army

Alternative if you want 10 orders, take two moira combis and change the morlock out with a flashbot.

Anyway, three out of ten games at least you'll totally annihilate your opponent. Many lists just can't cope with this much firepower and ODD. The rest of the time you'll be too slow to complete the mission. I won't pretend its good, but it sure is savage.
