Varangian models

They shouldn't be running 5 as they're AVA 4 :P

The Varangian Guard are mainly recruited from veterans of the Ariadnan Expeditionary Corps, so Ariadnan models like the Galwegians are popular.

 

Like all good proxies, exactly as I finish painting them, CB will release the real ones. I am using Valk and other recent Ariadna sculpts (the hero of the sphere guy, the new spec ops gal). Hippolyta can serve as #4 when I run it.

I got an old box of Kaplans and was thinking of painting them up for it, but undecided. Even if they're Ariadnans, not sure that means they need to run around with guns from Ariadna.

 

Just go buy a box of plastic Vikings from a historical company, finished. :P

 

I'm using 3 Valkyries and a Yuan-Yuan (until I paint the Pulpi Scarface, then that'll be number 4).

 

I use those:

I made a weapon swap on Jethro to give him a Chain Rifle. Not sure which mini I'll use for the 4th one, maybe the new ariadna SpecOps. Or just wait for the official ones.
