I look at AVA 3 Fugazis, Nokken Minelayer/KHD profiles and think that Jotum's look really nice. Like you can create a screen easily, you can create defensive roadblocks that are cheap orders and if you throw in an EVO Repeater you've got really nice defensive arrangements with Overclock too. Off topic a little, but I've seen it mentioned numerous times: in what way will ARM protect against Crits? I have heard the rumour that it will make a normal ammo into a DA ammo (crit with normal ammo cause 2 arm rolls), but is that confirmed? And now there is a high chance that a single normal ammo Crit will kill a HI?
Crits causing an extra wound roll is confirmed from podcast and videos. There is now a low chance that a crit will do 2W to an ARM4+ HI in cover, and a higher chance they'll ignore it completely, meaning crits will have less effect on HI overall.
To be precise, there's a chance that a crit will cause one more wound than it would in N3, a chance that it'll do the same amount of damage, and a chance that it'll do exactly nothing. The higher the ARM, the higher the chances of survival or even getting away with no damage.
Thanks guys, I haven't seen all the kaldstom videos (just the ones with panO in it) so I got left out :) .
I wonder if that for some reason you not wonder if Bioimmunity will protect from Crit Effects because you already know result on this matter ;P
I've found a ggss with good analysis how this change will affect different ARM values. Bottom line is that a typical ARM 4 HI in cover will suffer a 9% risk of taking two wounds from a Combi crit, with 42% chance of it dealing the same damage as in N3, and 49% chance of surviving with no damage. I like these odds. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...v7_fkqzezk3dCxsTbm0Xi1tiSXvqE6QBpj6wgDM#gid=0
Adepticon video should be posted today. I’m looking forward to seeing designs and dossiers (and hopefully cad renders!) of the new models for PanO! My bet is that we will get a Boyg, Karhu and Vargar in Beyond. Boyg ML is pretty much confirmed from the box art, no clue on the others yet.
Well..... ORC without cover being critted by enemy combi has a 30% chance to tank all saves.... ..... and 20% to go down unconcious.... (and if my math do not fail me this should result in ~50% chance of net result being a "standard wound") BUT when in cover it gets more interesting: ORC has a 49% chance to tank both saves from sucessfull crit from combi ( kinda wow) and has 9% to go down totally (2W -> Unconcious) That some interesting stuff.
Varg K1 MMR, Locust SMG, Boyg ML? Shame about the Karhu, a single model holding a Multi Rifle can cover all but one of the profiles.
Remember that the NCA starter is shitcanned, and that was the only way to get an Aquila Guard with Multi Rifle.
I want to remind everyone that last PanO beyond brought Bolt Paramedic so keep your expectations accordingly guys.
