Just as a reminder, while they've given us the armies now so theoretically they don't just join the Pile of Shame, they're both designed more with N4 in mind, so some things will be different and some of the overlap that currently exists might not in the future. After all, they said N4 will have a five year in universe timeskip, so some units might go by the wayside.

Yeah, new units obviously designed for an existing sectorial and not for the new one

That kinda sums it up honestly. Except maybe with the KoJs. They do seem to kinda fit Sval.

Also, in the process of making that list, I realized that the Tech Bee is not included in WinterFor. A shame, but I suppose she would've just frozen to death in the cold haha.

Anyone else having trouble filling SWC? I always seem to end up with 300/5 because of all of the marksmen rifles and minelayers.
It feels like im taking no guns!

    Tech-Bees are tasteless and embarrassing.

Replacing them with a genuine PanO front line logistical specialist unit? That'd be way cooler! Like a guy who comes with baggage, deployable repeaters, a skill that gives you 1 additional Command Token without being the LT but it costs 1 SWC, something like that.

Tech-bees are not this. they were never meant to be this. they are a cheerleader, in the purest sense, they encourage young men (and women) to sign up into the PanO military and offer support to the engineers that do the real work.

I think it's a neat take and better than "another unit that is a total bad ass that no one can stop 'cause they're the best in the world".
I understand why some may think they could use a costume change, but I like the idea and approach to a support unit like the tech-bee.

this sectorial is a disaster, seriously it look like a YJ trolling
Boyg got +1B on ML ... only in active turn
Orco get climb+ ... except HMG and feuerbach
    no camo
    no DA
worst fireteam options ever, this is so bad quinn is mandatory !!

where the fuck is my salt mine ?!

I find it weird that the Kaldstrom models are rather bleh overall and then the yet to be released guys are legit.

Nokken: a bit flabbergasted by the duplication of the locust in so many ways. Kudos to being one of our few KHDs which gives him a marker state at least. FO and minelayer are also notable profiles of interest. Overall, not blown away, but fairly solid I guess. Other point of interest is the lack of stealth or knife to do things silently. This actually crops up a bit in Sval as they have CCWs instead of knifes. Could come up but rarely.

Infirmer: weird link filler. A more expensive Bipandra with better shooting and CC? But nothing to really excell at either. Mob something with him and a gang of fusiliers for hilarity. Dont know why you would put him in a Hospitaliers link when Quin exists.

Karhu: now we're talking. Multirifles galore! Blitzens, e/marats, mines! Excellent all around pieces for attacking or utility. Msv, mimetism and C+ make these guys VERY attractive for their points cost. Some of the cheapest multirifles I can think of on damn good gunfighters.

Vargar: another profile I'm loving. Hippity hoppity your head goes poppity! Albedo link with HFTs, wild parrots, mines, sensor, our first K1 ammo and it's on a MMR, spitfire and HRL/light shotty. These guys are serious contenders for a solid core link. Reasonably priced, will get better with 4-4 movement to pump that super jump a bit more. I'm loving the mobility that Sval has. Built in haris!

Nisse: a touch disappointed that no Sval only profile showed up, but it's fine. Shove Quinn and a mech engineer into the link to cut costs and its possibly one of the deadliest platforms in the game right now. Built in haris!

Orcs: throw 2 orcs into what ever core fireteam strikes your fancy or pop 2 vargar into orcs for albedo shenanigans. Sval orcs are very interesting. Tin bots to help the low BTS, climb plus and aforementioned linkability means they can clear rooftops for your link on the ground and do it damn well.

Boyg: full auto ML with better stats and dodge than the Yan Ho. Stay mad Yu Jing! Seriously though, its interesting if you use it with combined orders as it's very accurate with that ML and tough too with upcoming crit changes. I see him primarily being a defensive rock. Either using the missile or MK12 in suppression he should be annoying to move as he can still dodge very well against camo guys who think they're getting sly.

KoJ: I like it as a wildcard here in Sval, it is actually significantly better with the fusiliers than MO. MO is only in the running for camo markers, santiagos and magisters at this point. With MA2, it makes for a good solo piece too. Stealth and courage are significant advantages especially with the cheap fusilier hacker to toss out fairy dust. Tough and some nice skills to back it up.

Hospitaliers: haris of knights is all we get, but that's fine. I dont think that a core would work out too well in this sectorial with all other options. Aforementioned Lazarus are a bad option to pop in while Quinn exists, unless Quinn is occupied elsewhere. Might be interesting to pop Gunnar in so you have the HMG below and him on high. Also creates a very smashy haris that the HI friendlies arent great targets to try and take with you while Gunnar drops CC 26 ftf or CC 32 berzerk rolls.

    Jotum: still um, Jotes.

Locust: the ever interesting profile got some sprucing up. SMG wild parrot to compliment the BS drop bears. Breaker combi KHD has some serious potential in this sectorial as its low on KHDs to begin with and breaker is always a nice ammo to have. Wild parrot also has DA and d-charges so looting and sabatoge makes him rather attractive with his 27 point cost.

Rems: nothing new, but good ava. Fugazi are going to be a must for order counts.

    Doc: so many doctors already

Engineer: nisse option.keeps the costs down.

Quinn: wildcard makes him a very good link filler and versatile to boot.

Uma: the only camo marker. Theres so much going on already that shes competing with, I'm not sure what she really brings apart from that. Press f boys. This was where she might have been interesting but her costs are just too much right now and everyone is super mobile too. Hopefully she gets retouched for N4. Still interesting for NCA.

Gunnar: the slam captain of PanO. Hes a CC guy with some serious punch. Berzerk and NBW is a painful combo and hes got CC to back it up. He has a pile of skills that are practically non existent in PanO and as a result has some interesting vectors he can exploit. Berzerk on 32s is nothing to sneeze at, but as hes only dogged he has to beware of knifes. He should be able to flank and cause all sorts of issues if he gets up the table. Probably get dragged along by a link and then break off to wreck someone's day. Expensive at almost 40 points though makes it a hard choice to take with this sectorial.

Kunai: our to camo for the faction. Not the most accurate of pieces, but a well sprung trap can still do wonders. If albedo or whitenoise become to frequent he may be required to protect your nisse.

Liang: a warband with a pile of CC skills and the kitchen sink to boot. 22 points puts him on the high end of costs for warbands, but nwi and dodge on 16s should keep him safe for the most part. Super jump for crouching tiger hidden dragon action.

    Agnes: no.

Overall thoughts: this is going to be a very difficult sectorial to slow down. They just have too many ways to get to you. Dazers are irrelevant for their movement. They can avoid mines and other traps by going any other direction they want. You cant hide on a roof from them. Theres a ton of msv, mods and defensive tools available. That said, it's also going to be somewhat fragile. Average cost is north of 25 points for most of the faction. Limited insertion is going to be pretty standard. Fusiliers and fugazi are going to be necessary to keep order count up. Overall, like Varuna, a refreshing take on PanO. I was worried at first from the spoilers that the complaints of Varuna caused them to back off, but this seems to be them leaning into it in a good way.
