Western High fantasy hero concept based of of King Charlemagne's knights, basically a knight priest that is all about upholding their sacred oath which is normally something like purity, protecting others, healing them, bringing down down the righteous wrath of god on anything that pisses them off in the name of vengeance, upholding the law. Some good examples are Arthas, Allistair from Dragon Age Origins, Micheal Carpenter from the Dresden Files
@xammy Do you have a particular method for the gold such that it's viable to do at army scale? I'm planning to do the same thing for my O-12 when I get around to them later in the year when defiance gets here, but the time it takes to do a half decent NMM gold does make me somewhat hesitant.
Really like the schemes here :) But I haven't decided yet. Maybe I'll go for Black base / White cloth / Red accents
It's not terribly formulaic, but my method was using yellows on the ochre side things and shade with a darker magenta. The trick to NMM is to push stark contrast between darks and highlights so it gives a shiny appearance. If you smooth out the blend between the shadow, base coat, highlights then it will end up looking like it's a matte surface instead of glossy.
Hello everyone! I just want to ask where u get the "templates" for coloring shemes like in post #49 or #68. Thanks in advance!
I just took the high res dossier concept drawings I found online and used photoshop to color change sections. When I google searched for the profile I found several options.
See my post on the 5th or 6th page, i just painted the whole hex yellow and highlighted it mixing in more and more white. Demands devilish patience but i think it went okay
Grab "Grey Seer" and one of the yellow Contrast paints from GW/Citadel. I promise you, it's easier than most of the ways that people will tell you to do yellow.
Then you've probably used it wrong, because the yellow contrast stuff is some of the better yellows I've worked with in awhile. And that's doing Grey Seer over black before adding the yellow.
I was going to use this as a test scheme for an upcoming Nomads project, but I'm now thinking I may just do my O-12 in this instead...
Heavy hitters: Omega HMG, Zeta, Gamma Feuerbach, Omega MULTI Rifle. Combat specialists: Cyberghost, Delta FO, Betatrooper Specialist Operative, Epsilon SMR, Gangbuster. Sirius Teams: BSG FO and SMG KHD. Line troopers: Dakini HMG, Kappas, Alpha. CC Specialists: Varangian, Hyppolyta, Varangian Phantom. The left Varangian is getting replaced by another Phantom in the next week or so. HVTs: Cerberus scientist and The Illusive Man. Cerberus O-12 family photo time! Michigan has some good weather this weekend and I was able to varnish everything finally. Cuervo is still on the painting table and I have a Shikami on the way to make into another Varangian Phantom.
Super nice scheme, white+orange work great ! ( BTW i've just realized that the O-12 studio scheme is Elysium's armadyne's security droid scheme. Took me just a year...)
