Cool, no problem. I think we have different opinions on specifics, while agreeing about the core concepts. I don't think he's overpowered or broken, I think he's overoptimized. For me they're two different things.
I believe you, I think most anything can be a formidable piece given link bonuses and an opportunity. The question you have to ask yourself is: If NCA had more flexible links, would you even be using CSU and fusis as your attack pieces in the first place? probably not. and it's not because they're bad, if there were better, more affordable wildcards or mixed link options you would probably just reach for them in the first place. I think to an extent every sectorial relies on using a link team for some type of attack/defense. Theres really no reason not to. I'm not as worried about a lack of camo/HD as some people are. Theres plenty of ways of playing without it and still performing fine. I love playing O12 and never feel like im really missing them. (though admittedly they have smoke and at least one TO guy). I'm also still holding out hope for the Beyond box units to bring something really interesting to the table. All the profiles previewed so far have been C1 baby-starter units, so it's understandable they would be simple and straightforward.
Gunnar looks strong as a profile, despite my distaste for the aesthetic BS 13 MULTI Rifles with Climbing Plus and CC ability can be really, really useful, Especially specialists.
Auxilia are in a whole different league to Fireteams, you would absolutely still use them even if you could link the damn Swiss. They're Specialist LI that happen to be bringing along a mini Warband that you can gleefully throw into Ghazi and trade up with, and unlike a Fireteam they both activate at once so they're less vulnerable. As for Fireteams, I find myself using them only rarely in NCA- no quality linkable HMG short of the ORC in ORC Core means I have to push the link about too often for my tastes- I find moving a Core link across the board to be a dull experience. I mostly play the Sectorial for its improved Hexa AVA and ALEPH loaner troops. As someone who so strongly detests having to use the big Fireteams, Sval actually looks somewhat unfun to me so I may wind up just playing the units in Vanilla. And finally, back on topic, Gunnar seems like a less useful Uma overall and that is not a thing to be proud of.
Sval is gonna be sick, shame its unlikely anyone will be able to show them off at a big event for a while. I was hoping to run them at novacore to match up with my varuna at cancon, but it looks like all that will be next year.
Yep, it's strange to think that these armies won't see a tournament for months. See you at Novacore 2021 I suppose.
The main website Blog has fluff information on Trollhunter: https://www.infinitythegame.com/blog/item/794-dire-foes-retaliation-infinity-codeone He is another former member of ultranationalist group NKAH, the Nordiske Krigere av Heimdall. I wonder how bad the situation is on Svalarheima.
Kinda getting tired of them trying to make everyone else seem like shit because of how they wrote the Imperial Service stuff for Uprising.
Next box is going to be Ultra KKK vs Maximum Nazis To really sell that "everyone is super shitty in the future" ideology
Some would say that is enough. But the main "bad" part of Desperados is the scalping Antipodes (specifically the peaceful tribes) for money.
There's a bit more about it, but I won't get into it. Just suffice to say the Derpsperadoes were just wildly unnecessary.
You mean to tell me that a creative choice made, without CB's consent, by a painter somehow affects the fluff that was written long before the painting process even began? Wauw, that's a strange way to write fiction.
Not to mention the direct Confederate callouts by name, obvious in the context. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jefferson_Davis https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stonewall_Jackson
