I for one i'm glad that this statement wasn't vague, "I’m confirming that the factions and sectorials currently not for sale (...) will be added gradually during 2020". As long as there's still hope for QK, i'm fine. Also i can't stop myself from saying that, but that was surprisingly fast response for CB, kudos. Now we can disperse to our homes, put our pitchforks on the stands and they'll be waiting for another day to sing the song of the blood and fire.
Aww, and I just got my nice Estwing rock hammer for cracking skulls to eat the goo inside. :( Hmm, maybe I can take up fossil hunting. A well written statement. Still, not having my ASA and QK sectorials available will suck. I assume the units will still be available in vanilla. Fusiliers are such derp. Give me my Regulars, por favor, with a nice side of BaghMari.
Oh... that happens every time. Tohaa not getting their Tohaa year, Mrrf getting benched, JSA splitting.... Same old. Just Godwin's Law in action.
I wouldnt be claiming victory because of the shitshow. This was more of a setting the record straight as far as I can tell. I'm glad it came out the way it did. I dont mind if I have to wait a little for support for some things in N4. They have a lot to chew on and it will be nice done right and late than half assed, on time and never touched again.
Well considering that the backlash here and on the WarCor forums might have encouraged CB to change tack, I dunno...
Just one & done mentality that will hold over players until the sectorials come back into the sku que. I'll be happy when these sectorials & Tohaa rejoin the Army Builder once again. I think that could be true. It would be sad if it was and they were going to retired the sectorials and Tohaa permanently but until that can be proven I'm going to lean on the side of "roll out the oop sectorials later on" was the original plan. It would be maddness if that wasn't the case.
Maybe. I think it was the more reasoned arguments from people who don't only talk negatively talk about the game and the company. It probably meant far more coming from someone who likes the game than someone who already didn't like it and complains about everything.
Not sure what you mean there, since this is obviously directed at me? I love the game. I care about those supposed changes. I'm hyped for N4 and C1. I just want to play the army whose minis and fluff and playstyle I came to love very quickly. If I hated the game, I wouldn't give a fuck about what army is dropped. If I was only negative about the company, I wouldn't have congratulated them on the decision and announcement today. Yeah, I have several complaints, most of them with the same core - clarity and reliability of communication. This seems to have started being addressed with Belen's start at communicating with us. That's great.
Meh. Reasoned response don't have the same je ne sais quoi that a chusma and populacho with pitchforks and torches. Beyond that, looking at the supposed "quote" from Interruptor (phased roll out) with the "info" from the FLGS (no OOP armies in N4) put together with today's announcement (no OOP armies at N4 launch, phased in over 2020 with a schedule), not that hard to connect the dots and see folks losing their minds over nothing...
I dont know how I would have felt if this went the other way, but this is basically why I support CB above other companies to the point that I literally have at least some of each army. I'm glad that they continue to value my purchases and support.
As I know I said in one of the (many) threads on this, to me it boiled down to I'd be irked, grumble under my breath, complain at one or two local gaming nights, and then get on with slotting troops from the dropped forces into any new homes they might have, and figuring out fun ways to proxy/convert/kitbash them if needed. After all, I've got the minis already, and no one can make them useless save for me.
I would have been upset but I dont think I would throw everything away over it. I'm not big on proxying unless I have to and I'm not cutting up my lil dudes.
It was directed at no single individual, just the small group of people that only trash CB, never say anything positive and jumped on these rumors like they were absolute truth handed down from God himself.
You know, as someone who was actually present at that Moscow event, I'd say that we should be happy with this happy ending and it's better to drop this topic altogether.
Except that axing the rules for minis makes them less useful (far less) than they were at purchase. It's incredibly disingenuous to play the "just proxy looool" card; it's not representative of how the community views their purchases.
My Gran used to complain about the bus arriving when she lit a cigarette, so when I was bored waiting for the bus I'd ask her to light one to get the bus to turn up. That doesn't mean smoking makes public transport more reliable, it means the bus was on the way the whole time.
I am still mad at CB. Sure they want models and Profiles to be balanced but Do they have to make defiance during their development time for n4? Couldnt they have delayed defiance for a year? My Main Portion of Anger is vanished but from Business view it was a catastrophy. It is like buying a football Ticket for a year and you cant go for 1 or 2 months because they miscalculated their space.
I'm the opposite. Converting is what got me into this hobby & drives me to buy more stuff in order to see what I can create.
