Please remember that if one of the keys to selling products is to create customer loyalty and passion, and that, is used as a tool, this customer also has the right to express their dissatisfaction if their product or experience in the game / hobby is harmed in some way

It is the same side of the same coin, and it has nothing to do with a "psychological implication" but with a feedback of a rumor about a corporate decision

And It's not a campaign to discredit the game you like

To be honest, after playing wargames for more than 20 years i have encountered worse with more money spend.
Infinity is rather cheap and you can still Reuse the miniatures for painting practise, diorammas, vignettes etc.

    Miniatures are meant for gameplay.

First they came for ko dali. Yujing complained, but everybody else said it was ok because she was OP and ugly
Then they came for the exrah. CA complained, but everybody else said it was ok because they were not selling (and ugly)
Then they came for JSA as a Yujing sectorial. Yujing complained (again), but everybody else said it was ok because they were just cryers
Then they came (silently) for Tohaa. Tohaa complained and people told them to wait. And with every news about the topic leaves them in worse state.
Now they came for some others. Their players are complaining, but everybody else is saying them to wait because reasons

jokes aside, I do not know what is thinking CB. Since a few yeras, CB's videos have become untrustworty. I don't know if they are changing strategies, is a marketing tactic, or just they got wrong info when they did the video, but this has been a problem since a few years.

about the topic of longlasting. I can still play any of my old master system games (and sometimes I do with my nephews), videogames, books, tabletop games are meant to be longlasting, the wame as wargames. I can still play confrontation, warhammer fantasy, or even the Infinity beta (I have it printed somewhere at home) if I want because I have the books and the miniatures. Will I find people for it? I highly doubt, and that is what creates a problem: you need more people, and if your faction gets exrahed and you decide to remain in N3, but your friends' factions don't suffer the same end, they will move to N4... and your faction gets, definitelly unplayable. And getting that one year after the "tohaa year" and the "everything will be in n4", well...I can comprehend what those people feel.

but my opinion about those news... I will believe when I see them. CB has a track of misleading, "wrong teasers" and incomplete info since years ago, so this new info might change again, and again and...

    Getting LIED to, by Bostria?
Oy mate, if it's Bostria that doesn't qualify. At this point you should have expected there to be at least one major piece of wrong information.

    Here's a meme I stole like 2 weeks ago:

Can you see the date on that post? 2011. He's been at it since the beginning of time and you fell for it again.
    Oh Bostria, never change.

CB staff runs these forums. They can literally come here and post "All sectorials from N3 will be playable in N4"

They arent known for responses on the forum, i think.
I'd like to toss my opinion about the whole situation, but to be honest i havent played this game in a year, and thats probably why i would rather accept those news.
I can see the point in viewing the new edition as a good place to cut off discontinued armies, but i dont understand something. They were discontinued because they werent selling, right? How is that really blocking them from updating the rules or points for those? I mean, i can see the time that would have to be spent on it, and of course some points adjustment would make people want to buy killed off miniatures, but that is still a rather radical decision instead of saying that it will be postponed.
Of course i can be missing something, i am out of the loop and i know that there is no official statement, and half of the topic is an argument about quotes usage.
I will also add that i am somehow used to CB having their own information strategy, they show up few times a yearlike a sun in England and then dissapear, leaving poor psychoticstorm in the charge of the kindergartren, but i am still dissapointed by that aporoach. Killing off sectorials is a news that i would see plastered by them in the News section on the very same day someone somehow anounces that to the public.

Still, i will be waiting for the response (oh stupid, hopeless me). I understand people who dont care about this and those dissapointed, to those who are livid about this, well, i dont know what to say. Probably "sorry" cause you arent gonna hear it from CB, its a company, they have the loss of few players calculated.
    I think so.

Not really. They were discontinued because CB catalogue of product was becoming too big. So they cut the old stuff, arguably the stuff that did not sell well, but I'm not even sure of that.

To follow your logic it's more like if the artist of the CD came round and snapped your CD in half and told you you weren't allowed to listen to that album anymore but here's a new album you might like, buy now!

Am I sad to see MRRF go? Yes, but not surprised. I am surprised about Acon, especially if this means Acon units won't be in vanilla. The Stingray box is going OOP so does that means there's no Tikbalang or Uhlan in N4? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Considering how fast shit hits the fan with every tidbit someone doesn't like...
Can you blame anyone (CB) for wanting to make sure the response is carefully formulated, contains the truth and hits the right tone?

Take one look at this powder keg and you can tell it's gonna blow unless you tell it exactly what it wants to hear, no matter how realistic or how that collides with the reality of running a business.

I don't think there's room for being nice and formulated since at the end it's completely irrelevant. Either the hundreds of dollars players spent and hundreds of hours invested into building, cleaning, painting and basing will be playable or they will not. How nice they sugarcoat that fact (if it's true) hardly matters.

I think it's the wrong comparison. A more suitable one should be "I'm moving from a OS or console version to the next one. You're free to play the game with the older versions, but know they will not be migrated to the new systems". As sad as can it be, it's a perfectly reasonable measure.

It was decided some time in the past that some factions are not supported anymore. They still had the courtesy (and in the wargaming community it's not so granted) to keep them available through all the lifcecycle of the current system. But as Infinity moves on the old sectorials or factions are dropped out, as it was basically already declared since day one.

I agree on that. At this point there is little possibility of deescalation. Either they deny all rumors or forums will blow up. The situation could have seen avoided by CB making official announcements earlier. I know that this kills hype (not for me but I can understand people who don't want any spoilers). For now forum is the best place to manage community. They can try to do that on fb but there community is more dispersed. Also the flow of info is so fast between 2 platforms that it doesn't matter where CB posts it. You can't avoid total lack od disappointment from every decision you make but you can scale it down with proper preemptive (don't know if it's good word) actions.

No, it was not. The only case this happened before was Exrah and then the excuse was "old models, made by another company, copyrights, yadda yadda". The status quo was "even if a faction is discontinued as models (no longer sold), they are still playable and have their profiles in Army". That was the case for Tohaa, MRRF, Acon, etc.

Now it's shifting goalposts and manipulation to claim that removing factions from the game completely is "normal" and "has been known to happen from day one". No, it's not. It's never been normal. One of the key features of Infinity until this very moment was "we don't leave you behind, you can still play with your faction until it's redesigned and re-released" - just like it recently happened with Shasvastii.

Owners of MRRF and Tohaa expected the same kind of treatment further down the road. They've kept buying other Infinity stuff in the meantime and kept their collections. Some of us even got on the MRRF / Tohaa factions as CB advertised the discontinuation of models with "last chance to purchase those models and keep playing with that faction".

Instead we got taken out back and shot in the head for all our loyalty to the company.

CB would first have to have that capacity, right?

The simple fact is the decision was made to discontinue those armies originally because they sold so poorly and were represented the fewest players that it made no sense to keep making the product.
As a new version is released ...and the whole focus is on new players there is no point in keeping armies that can't be played active and live. It confused players, creates a squat affect and is unnecessary.
I do believe that there will be some kind of task force...but likely not its legal...way to play your factions in n4.
If cb and infinity does not figure out how to accelerate new player adoption than the company is in strategic trouble. In order to do that underperforming skus have to be cut. Gaming is a passionate hobby and while I don't understand the vitriol I understand the source.
If you are a tohaa or mrrf player you stopped spending money long ago. The company made a decision and is chasing what will keep them healthy and open which is new players and revenues.
