*Please note this is a WIP, there is a lot to write up!* Overview Our local FLGS has unfortunately had to close it's dedicated gaming hall so to mark the occasion we decided to make good use of the space and play a massive game of infinity, each player with 400pts as part of a larger army, since we have more human players than CA Myself and a friend would play multiple armies to make up the difference. Mission Keep it simple, we went for quadrant control, however on a board this size (12' x 8') we had 12 24" x 24" zones so the mission should technically be called dodecagondrant control. each force had a 24" DZ so that leaves 48" of no mans land between the Frontlines. House rulings We played this as stright up out of the box HSN3, so link teams command tokens etc with each individual army suffering from LoL etc, however to knit the battlegroups together we had some minor house rules in the form of supreme command tokens Spoiler: supreme CT rules Supreme command tokens. Each battlegroup has its own Lt and command token pool, however each battle group generates 1 Supreme command token. These have the following uses. A forward observer may use a supreme command token to call in a nimbus barrage on a targeted game entity. Placing a nimbus effect AOE on that area for the player turn.* Yeah totally forgot we'd put that in there A supreme command token allows a combined order to be used to perform a combined order with models from different combat or battle groups. Allows a hacker to count as a member of another battlegroup for hacking purposes until the start of the next active turn.
