Looting and Sabotage/Supplies lists

    I was trying to come up with a list to cover both looting and sabotage and supplies. I have four possible lists. I was curious what suggestions people have regarding them. Which ones look best or what tweaks I should make.

    I tried to include a Igao and clipsos forward observer.

    The Igao is for looting and sabotage since it comes with a DA CCW. I haven't been able to play looting and sabotage before. So, I don't really have a good feel for DA CCW vs d-charges but it seemed like a good idea.

    The clipsos is for supplies. It seems like the infiltrating specialist are crazy good for supplies.

    List One

    The issue with this list is I don't know if I have enough order in group 2 to justify the models. Although with Neema as the LT maybe the irregular order are fine to make up the difference. It is also missing a msv 2 sniper. Seems a little weak at defending the AC2 outside of the helots and Flash pulses and maybe that is fine.

    List two

    I skipped the Igao in the list for a lot of d-charges. I have two triads for moving up the first and the two Schemers sit back for defense in L&S. I have the clipsos and a bunch of other specialists to cover supplies. It might be worth moving the third triad to group two and one more irregular up to group 1.

    List three

    The kriigel triad in group to sits back and guard the AC2 and provide smoke as needed. I am also unsure if I should swap out the kriigel in group one for another smoke instead of the light grenade launcher.

    This is one last list I put together. It allows for both a kiel-saan and Igao plus a clipsos and three real specialists. I forgot to specify a LT. The list doesn't have a great choice. Either the viral sniper or the kriigel agent. Either I have to worry about losing a LT to use the sniper or leave him in the mid field with the draal. The viral sniper is probably better. Leave him in hiding until turn three.

    D-charges have some problems:
    - most of the guys who carry them are low-CC units, and for d-charge hit in CC you apply -3 to CC (Draal hits on 12s, Keesan on 11s, and still the AC will do armor rolls against it which can be passed)
    - they are Disposable(3), so streak of bad luck can leave you empty handed next to standing AC2 in enemy side of the table

    Igao on the other hand
    - starts in the half of the board
    - having DA weapon will attack with his full capabilities being 22+3 (MA3) CC, so you are sure to hit the AC2 and you can fish for crits

    It may be good idea to take 2 of Igaos with Boarding Shotguns and run them after you clear the field (or even use them to rambo if you find opening). You could consider adding Kriigel with smoke launcher for extra safety, lob the spec-smoke from half of the board on the antenna and o your thing. The biggest obstacle would be the mines, which Igao dodges on 10s and will probably kill him, if you fail.

    The expensive option is to run the Kiel-saan, that can both fend for himself and if you run the triad, you can get some extra burst at the AC2, but this is expense of at least ~120 points.

    Those are fair points. I definitely agree with them. I had some issues trying to fit specialists into a list I liked.

    The only concern I had around DA weapon is it seems like it would be difficult to actually damage the ac2 with its armor. The Igao gets around that with its crits but I am a little worried about the kiel-saan. Edit: I forgot about NWB on the kiel-saan. It is actually looking pretty good now especially if you can get an extra model into base to base with the AC2.

    I just put something together that had a pair of Igaos, a kiel-saan draal triad and clipsos. It might be worth it to swap an Igao with a second clipsos with the kiel-saan draal triad.

    I am mostly happy how the list played I just did not play great. Ended up being a 3 to 4 loss with neither of us touching the AC2 and my opponent getting panoplies for the win. Wasted order spec firing smoke up the field the give the Igao cover to advance. I could have done a little climbing and fired them with LOS sight instead. I also didn't handle my camo well. I just haven't use it much except for the helots. So I should have pushed a little harder with it and pushed more delays from my opponents instead of trying to use smoke.

    I liked the Kiel-saan draal team. The kiel-saan didn't do a lot but that was just bad dice rolls. When your kiel-saan fails to kill a warcor during like 4 rounds of shooting as you move up the field, there is not much to say. I do feel like they do have all the tools I could want.

    Ran the list again this week in looting & sabotage against Tunguska. Again some play mistakes on my part but I am feeling pretty good so far. I actually like the bombs. Maybe not quite as nice as the mates but I like that they give you some more flexibility. I was able to isolate Perseus. I probably wasted it there because I killed him next order. Besides that I didn't get to try it since I wasn't thinking about this but it think it would be handy against Jammers.

    I finally got to run the list at a tournament and I was overall very happy about it for looting and sabotage but it didn't quite work out for supplies. I am not sure if the list is badly designed there or if I was just the player I was matched with or me. He is a very competent player and I am still very much learning. I really need to give it another shot to see.

    I really like the kiel-saan and drall link in looting and sabotage. The 6-2 movement across the board is really handy and they just ripped the ac2 to pieces.

    Still really happy with the symbobombs. I was able to drop a white noise and get a supply box being overwatched by a haidao sniper in a full link.

    This is one of my "take all comers" lists. As is it's only deploying two specialists, but you could turn that diplomat into the specialist version (this was built for hunting party so I wanted few specialists...).

    For Looting and Sabotaging hope to go first - use the Draal and/or Sniper turn one to clear out a path to to funnel the Igao through to their objective. Setup heavy ARO game with Tricore'd up Oblivion for zone defense behind helots and linked heavy flamers. If the Igao doesn't accomplish the goal, turn 2 you have the Kiel Sann.

    For supplies, if you go first the Draal is going to be your hero linked with the Kriigel Agent in the Tricore - apply the visual modifiers you need and terrain (and luck) dependent you should be able to secure two of the objectives, burning through command tokens to convert regular orders.

    For either mission if you take deployment, this list has the ability to lay down a lot of good ARO power defending the short range - deploy to contest nothing past the midpoint of the board - in Supplies let your opponent spend two or three orders walking up to the box before your first ARO; in LnS don't leave anything out and make him walk past your linked flamers and lobotomized deep ones before they finally risk getting hit with oblivion.
