And for this, the cover company of the Takemura ninja clan, that means espionage, thievery, assassination and many other illegal activities for money. After all, they are one of the honorless clans who betrayed the Japanese Emperor to keep working for Yu Jing, and also for PanOceania or any other who pays well. What else can you expect from them? AND……. Dire Foes Mission Pack Alpha: Retaliation Convention Exclusive Pre-release [CODEONE PRODUCT] PanOceania knows that a power does not maintain its supremacy by allowing any attack against it to go unpunished. Following the events in Kaldstrøm, a representative of the Yu Jing diplomatic corps who is visiting Huangdi will be the target of a team led by Troll-hunter Gunnar Lundmark. Of course, with Imperial Agent Adil Mehmut of the Special Division as the diplomat’s bodyguard, the task will not be easy.
I've said it in the PanO section and I'll say it again here. If Gunnar the Troll Hunter does not posess a mighty beard I will be severely disappointed.
If I'm not spending my own money, I may as well spend others! Though I spent plenty last month, got a cheap Icestorm and a Coldfront and some other stuff while waiting for all the new stuff.
Hey, I suggested we get an actual Troll as the bonus figure for Kaldstrom, but they went with some silly ninja instead. Could have been a neat centerpiece aro everything mini!
Would have turned out to have been a Triumvirate experiment and would have given Tohaa a second "TAG"
I do wonder if anyone on Svalarheima has managed to get a Troll Control Device like the Antipodes get.
There won't be any trolls. Trolls are of very limited tactical use since, as every schoolboy knows, trolls turn to stone when exposed to sunlight. That's why they live in sunless places, like under bridges, or in their parent's basement
Or Svalarheima. Almost no sun, underground cities, squabbling people overhead. It's the Human Sphere's basement.
YJ totes needs an Otaku clan for their part of the Svartalfheim battalion. Trolls and troll-hunters all in one. Only they call their base "4chan", and it's more like a combination cesspool and basement.
Svalarheima trolls are 3m tall alien simians, who doesn't want one of them trying to eat your TAG or fight your ninja? Have you no soul? Hopefully the troll hunter at least has a pelt cloak. :)
Looks like a simplified points system too. It was said 150 N3/4 points equals 15 C1 points, so a Fusilier would be 1 point, or an ORC trooper 4 points. Interesting.
32 x 24" makes 15pts C1 playable out of the box; it's the Recon replacement that I've been hoping/expecting as a teaching tool or fast paced tournie system (you can run a Recon tournie on a weeknight after work, which is cool for getting people who can't do weekend tournies involved in the community more than just a casual weeknight game). I expect that's where C1 is best positioned. I hope it's where C1 is designed to be balanced. This would make 48" x 48" games work better as N4, helping to prevent the bifurcation of the community. Honestly, I found the other image more interesting though. Blurry photo notwithstanding, it means that C1 faction lists should look something like: 7 Model OP:"TT" 3 Model B:"TT" 1 Dire Foe (with "TT" factions) 4 Model Support Box 2 Basic REMs 3 Model Action Pack 1 3 Model Action Pack 2 1 Hero Blister 1 TAG + Ninja Merc + Hypolyta I think it's reasonable to conclude: 1. The OP:"TT" exlusive will see it's general release model in one of the two Action Packs. 2. Hypolita's general release will most likely be O-12's 'Hero Blister' (otherwise they'll get an extra troop). 3. I think it's also reasonable to conclude that any future OP:"TT"s will have widely used Mercs as their LE so that they can be released for Code 1 as general release models. However, I think CB needs to be really cautious about what model they release as the LE for future OP:"TT"s. A HVT actually makes the most sense, as it allows splitting OP:"TT", B:"TT" and Dire Foes "TT" down the middle between two friends. I think the worst possible way that CB can do the 'Action Pack' releases is by doing mixed New models and Repacks, so it's possible we'll see 1 Repack and 1 New Action Pack. OTOH they are a good way to repackage the existing B:"TT"s for resale now that they're discontinued (B:RV in particular repacked as YJ Action Pack 1 would be a really great move for supporting Code 1).
I wonder how tags are going to perform in Code One because those big centerpiece miniatures are a great way to get people's attention. I remember one of the first models I saw was the cutter and I immediately thought to myself "wow that mini looks cool I want to know more about this game"
If past performance is used as our gauge...poorly. As will HI. But I hope to the spanish deities that be that I am wrong
Honestly, if crits are toned down slightly: they're gonna be great and the most premium TAGs are going to be utterly disgusting.
