Because your price for a specific service provider that CB *can’t* use is pointless.

I wouldn't mind that one bit. It's the least hype part of the kickstarter and I'd have personally avoided it if it had saved me money on shipping. Hell, I'd have avoided it to save shelf space.

To clarify, each additional revenant added includes Sforza and Kusanagi, in addition to the initial 4?

to be honest, shipping is far less than what many including CMON ask to ship to my country.

Shipping of heavy metal toys and big boxes is expensive. Not sure why this is news to anyone. Particularly to anyone who has used KS in the past two years and watched shipping go through the roof.

    Hi everyone,

thanks to the help I got in this forum and in the french one, I have started playing (well, for now, assembling and gluing) Infinity.I missed this KS back in Nov/Dec. but now that I play Infinity and given that I also love dungeon-crawlers (primarily as a solo player), which usually take place in a fantasy setting, I am looking at Infinity defiance.

What's everyone's take on the gameplay ? Does it look deep enough ? It looks a bit like a miw between Infinity and Aristeia to me but I am probably wrong. My fear is that it will end up looking like Infinity but with much less depth.
    what do u think ?
    thanks !

Closer to Aristeia! It's a more complex game per model than Infinity, but with fewer models to balance it out.

Like A! you're choosing four heroes from a larger pool, each with their own abilities, but this time you've got upgrade paths and equipment coming into play. After a few missions two players might take the same character in different directions. For example one player might build Uma as a sneaky rifle user, whilst another might build her as a dual wielding gunslinger.

The game definitely seems more built around campaign play than their other games, there's 20-30 missions out of the box and these can be further varied by substituting enemies (the Core campaign has Shasvaasti as the default antagonist but you can swap some/all of the opponents per mission with Onyx or Morats) plus there's been mention of a random scenario generator in the works.

The biggest things for me have been the fact that it's a more narrative experience, and that it's capable of running with more than two players, both of which mean it'll get more play time in my groups.

A note on swapping enemies, the Core box and expansions come with cards and flat cardboard tokens for all the appropriate enemies for their respective campaigns, the Reinforcement packs don't contain any rules, just miniatures.

Actually Uma is my biggest worry, her abilities seem to lock her into gunslinger build. I have no hope that they've changed them at some point into more general bonuses.

Oh, no. Oh, ffs, no. I was hoping for postal courier delivery, not them. DHL are one of the worst around here. Ridiculously underpaid and overworked end couriers who don't give a fuck about the state of packages and constantly lie that they "attempted delivery" even though I'm home waiting for them and they never arrive at the door.

    Fucking DHL. FML.

DHL are the best around here. My highlight was 3 days from New Zealand to my front door. More than halfway across the globe. Just great.

DHL's intercontinental logistics are insanely efficient, but their last leg service is often franchised, like most other courier companies, so can be incredibly variable depending on location.

DHL are really good where I live, but the admin fees are high (which are charged on top of the shipping costs paid by the sender) and they moved their office so I can no longer walk to it in my lunch break.

UPS were unbelievably bad, to the point where their franchise was revoked and given to a local independent courier.

FedEx are decent, raising to good for things from the US, and they still have a downtown office as well as their bigger logistics centre which is handy for me, but they're slower for things that don't originate in the US.

Then there's the local post office, who aren't the most efficient, and usually have long lines, but the admin fee is only KYD$3 per package. We found out recently that they do actually offer a doorstep delivery option, but they're trying to keep it quiet.

Ok, thanks for the feedback. Yeah, the campaign play is what interests me (leveling up characters...). And What about the AI ? Having a good and interesting AI is usually a prerequisite for this kind of game.
