I noticed that the Vanilla Units have the Fireteam Duo and Enomotarchos terms in it. Is this an error or can I make fire teams in Vanilla? I'm pretty sure this is SP only.
Hi, vanilla does not support any type of fire teams as far as I know. I am not an expert in any way but the vanilla entries in Army Builder are basically copies from the sectorals in many cases with AVA changes. But I might very well be completely wrong on this one :)
Fireteam:Duo can be used in Vanilla if there is an entry allowing it in their sectorial (see http://infinitythewiki.com/en/List_of_Fireteams ) with the help of an EVO Hacking Device (mostly present in baggage bots) and the Fireteam Pro hacking program being active (you need to form the fireteam after activating the program, so a Command Token will be spent). Enomotarchos are present on the profiles, but have no use in Vanilla.
Minor correction 1 - the two Troopers have to be from the same unit, it's not related to the Sectorial Charts. Minor correction 2 - if going second, a Command Token can be used to have Teampro running before the game begins, which allows you to form Fireteams: Duo during deployment. The Sectorial Fireteam Charts only apply to Sectorials. So you can't, for example, have a Duo of Acmon and a Dactyl.
Achilles + patroclus... http://infinitythewiki.com/en/TeamPro http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Creation_of_a_Fireteam It could be open to interpretation (and I personally think its not worth it), but... You still spent a command token (thus why I worded it that way)
Yes, that's specifically in their profiles. It's still not related to Sectorial Charts. What are you saying is up for interpretation?
The red box I quoted, inside the "creation rules for a fireteam" that the program notes are applied as usual. Specifically, the part that says "When creating a Fireteam: Core that includes Wildcard troopers, you must include at least one trooper from one of the units listed for that Fireteam in the Sectorial chart, or a trooper who counts as one of those units." Mostly because I find amusing that you can , for example, make a Duo of Yadu + Rudras (because the Rudras "count as" Yadu, and the red box is directly applied to it), while Acmon & Dactyls would not be able to Duo (because that's a Special Fireteam of Duo Acmon + Dactyls, despite Acmon not needing it thanks to Enomotarchos not being limited in number, and an enomotarchos of Acmon + Dactyl is legal in the sectorial), because Acmon's rules were not updated to "counts as Dactyl", and instead was given a Duo (also, the Greeks have 2 Duo options: Patroclus + Achilles, and Acmon + Dactyl)...
Funny you saying such, considering it's you who deployed it in the wiki. It's in my first post, the list of fireteams per faction. And you placed "8 Aleph", then indented and placed "8.1 Steel Phalanx" then "8.2 OperationS Subsection of the S.S.S." So, I¡ll leave it here and refer @MachSkinner to the playing group in his zone. It's not as if this game has any kind of unified interpretation of the rules, after all, despite of a not very clearly written collection of rulebooks.
