I started the game with PanO, so maybe my Dire Foe expectations are low!

Yes, she's not great for internal balance. She can actually be a little more deadly than a Grenzer in a firefight due to the breaker ammo too, on the other hand I'm still holding out hope that N4 makes some adjustments to Grenzers.

It doesn't make sense why her profile was created, she's a dust collector, waste of an army icon and especially a waste of a mini.

Sensor in a fireteam is amazing and you get her cheaper than Grenzer, she is good

She's competing with Grenzer which she's shouldn't have when other tools are needed in Tunguska.

I was almost right then.. she is not even fordwar observer, but I spected more of the grenzer profile at that time (maybe BS13, maybe ARM 2..).

"Tools" is the least of problems in Tunguska

TJC is a low tier sectorial at the moment, so of course a single profile will not fix much. The worse thing about this, is that it isn't even a new fun or interesting profile, just like something we had before, cheaper so it gets optimized for a single niche function, and worse in almost everything else

But she definitely could help a little with a more useful profile.

I will try to use her as a late-game shooter chilling in a Defensive Link, hopefully it works out!

Damn these forums are depressing to read. What problems does tunguska have as an army? And what makes it a low tier army? I’ve been having a blast with them and doing relatively well as an average player who gets middle of the pack in tournaments normally. I just see people in here complaining about a bad profile that doesn’t fix anything in a so called bad army, which I’m calling bull on. She has use, adapt and overcome.

Take these forums with a grain of salt, or a whole damn shaker. TJC isn't a low-tier sectorial. There is a lot of echo-chamber group think in here. Always trust your subjective experience over internet opinion in Infinity.

I went 2 Majors, 2 Minors, and a 1-0 loss at i4 with TJC last weekend. No one can convince me they aren't competitive, and unfortunately here you probably won't convince the detractors that success with the faction isn't anything other than an aberration.

IMO Jelena is redundant, but an interesting and cheaper alternative to the one unit she competes most directly for in role within TJC.

I will definitely play her, but I had high hopes for what she could be. CB has set a high bar with recent releases, and Kovac isn't in the same place as Cadin or Jaan Staar. That doesn't make her useless at all, but it does explain why so many players find her lackluster.

Sooooo... when I first saw the profile, I was a little disappointed, no mimitism, or smoke, or anything else exciting.

But having throught about it, I think I like her and will use her alot. She brings roughly equivalent firepower to a spitfire grenzer in the 0-8 and better firepower 24-32 in range bands which helps out the link, and the break ammo can be very useful against certain targets.

She has sensor which is an amazing tool (with its bells and whistles), and unlike the sensor bot, she fits in a link, and is a non-hackable specialist which is something that Tunguska has very little of.

I can easily see her shaving 20 to 30 points off of my lists for similar utility. I can take her instead of a spitfire grenzer and a stempler in a list and get similar utility. Or for that matter her instead of a spitty grenzer and a grenzer FO. The extra points shaved off can be turned right around into extra cheap orders or other unit upgrades. Also FWIW I am a big fan of vet. level 1, and she has it, and the profiles she can sub in to replace don't.

I'm with you on this, I don't think TJC gets enough credit for how good Veteran on Securitates is.

I agree she is redundant, but now you can take a cheaper sensor without sacrificing mobility. I personally don’t like using offensive link teams as I’m never that great with them. But I would place her in a Securitate core if I ever did.

And I totally agree about TJC being competitive. It has the tools to get things done and answers for most everything. Just need to think outside the box and use the strengths of the army. That’s how nomads have always been.

Not to sell the work that was done with that data short, but the dataset is so far from complete that it can't really be trusted for anything conclusive with regards to faction statistics.

It will be that way as long as <50% of players upload lists, and my guess is it's way below that amount.

No one is saying Tunguska isn't competitive but it is lower tier faction.

That's so subjective that it's meaningless. All I read in your statement is that they don't work for you on the table.
