Building two lists for a tournament this weekend, looking for thoughts:

This is a pretty standard Pain Train list (I think). The AGs are mostly there to provide orders for Raoul (and for the FO/Liaison Officer to step forward to the middle zone). The Jaguars are similarly there for orders for the Pain Train, but also to lay down some initial smoke to cover them (three coordinated move-smokes, unless opponent has MSV 2...)

    Supplies:
    Emily & Avicenna
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────
    GROUP 1[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]6 [IMG]3
EMILY (Chain of Command) Combi Rifle + Light Grenade Launcher (Normal and E/M), Nanopulser / Assault Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 35)
ALGUACIL Lieutenant Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 10)
    ALGUACIL Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10)
    ALGUACIL Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10)
ALGUACIL Hacker (Hacking Device) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 18)
    CATERAN T2 Sniper Rifle / Pistol, AP CCW. (1 | 24)
    REAKTION ZOND HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 26)
HARDCASE FRONTIERSMAN Tactical Bow, Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 12)
    WARCOR (360º Visor) Flash Pulse / Stun Pistol, Knife. (0 | 3)
    GROUP 2[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]4 [IMG]3 [IMG]1
SPECTOR (AD: Combat Jump) Boarding Shotgun, Nanopulser, Drop Bears / Pistol, E/M2 CC Weapon. (0 | 33)
AVICENNA Combi Rifle, Flash Pulse / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 27)
    ZONDBOT Electric Pulse. (0 | 3)
IRMANDINHO Chain Rifle, D-Charges, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 8)
BANDIT Hacker (Killer Hacking Device) Light Shotgun, Adhesive Launcher / Pistol, DA CCW. (0 | 25)
    BRAWLER (Multispectral Visor L2) MULTI Sniper / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 28)
BRAWLER (Fireteam: Haris) Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 17)
CSU Boarding Shotgun, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 11)

Another pretty standard Starco list. Again, most of the first group is there to provide orders for Emily and most of the second group for Avicenna and Raoul. Emily will be carpet bombing, while Avicenna, Raoul and the Bandit will go for supplies. The Irmandino will too, but honestly will probably just get shot down. Brawlers are there to snipe, and give orders.

Not sure which list to use for Firefight. First seems like a good choice to move up and kill things, but second would be nice to access Panoplies... maybe depend on opponent...

    Thoughts/advice welcome... Thanks!

This would be my take for Frontline and Supplies: the Brigada Link will be te main actor in both missions either as a mass of wandering points or as a taxi for the Daktari in Supplies. The Brawler Haris will act as the long range defence (the major advantages to the T2 sniper are still DA and Stun ammo) or attacker.
For Firefight on the other hand I'd build a separate list with as few specialists as possible. Maybe something like this?!

In the first list turn one of the aggies into the LT, and drop the FO in favour of a hardcase, that thing will solve a lot of your problems. downgrade the ML brigada to a tinbot and the brawler into a KHD bandit for some hacker protection otherwise they are just going to get bricked and the brigada hacker is going to get her brain melted. Also hardcase g1 and catreran g2.

If you could squeeze in a spiftfire on one of the Hellcats, and/or a Raoul you'd be golden, but I do really like that list.

Raoul is a specialist Troop thus no ticket for him in this list (since you don't need actual specialists anymore to fulfill the clasifieds) - you don't need to gift your opponent with Mission Points. Although Raoul might be a hard nut to crack.
The Spitfire-Hellcat is a good idea... if you can sacrifice enough SWC bearing troops

Given the amount of damage he can do in an opponents backline it's potentially worth it. Being a spec op he may have more applications in other missions in the tournament packet.

Thanks for the advice, given me some things to look at.
I think not taking an FO in Frontline is leaving points (well, "point") on the table. Also looking at a non-spec list for Firefight now.

The first mission was Firefight against ForCo. I lost 4-1, but only because I made a couple key mistakes. I had to redo my list at the last second because I missed a rule that armies were limited to 15 orders. This wound up messing me up in the end.. :(
Deployment: I had my Brawlers on my left (sniper poking out to shoot) Emily and her squad in the middle (mostly prone) and the Riot Grrl, TR bot and Cateran on the right. Bandit deployed forward on the right, Hardcase forward on the left. Opponent had an HMG Kriza on my left, a doc and guy with a feuerbach in the middle and a couple warcors on each flank. Everything else was hidden or in deep in cover. The feuerbach wound up being a massive pain, taking out my Cateran and TR bot on some bad rolls (on my part) and his Kriza took out my Brawler-sniper. Meantime Emily took out Wild Bill in full cover (bravely raining grenady death while prone). I dropped one hellcat deep in his deployment zone on my left, wounding the Kriza and revealing a Crocman (IIRC) and then taking him out (before dying to weight of fire). Kriza kept moving up and started picking off models (Emily's fireteam took several hits) while I managed to finally kill the feuerbach guy (though I can't remember with what). I only managed to grab one of the three goals, failing multiple WIP rolls with the Bandit and Hardcase (I think the Crocman killed the Hardcase when he revealed his hidden deployment). My second hellcat dropped really close to where the first did, but failed his WIP roll (needed an 18 or less) on a 19. This ruined my day. My CSU died to the advancing Kriza with a nanopulser, but also died herself. That's when I realized that I'd accidentally made her a specialist when I redid my list. This gave my opponent more specialist kills. I then got super-focused on balancing that out and spent way too many orders charging my Bandit up to get kill his doc. Which worked, but resulted in a one-point swing. If I'd instead spent those orders on killing the Crocman (who he healed with the doc+bot) or another model I would have killed more points, which would have been a three-point swing (and the game), oh well...

Second mission was Supplies against a very new Nomads player. This was mostly a learning chance for him as he wasn't familiar with multiple rules like hold-backs (thought his hellcats counted for that), camo-markers (he accidentally placed his Intruder sniper as a model, before I realized and told him) and how Limited Insertion worked. On my side my snipers proved meh again (losing out to his Intruder mostly) but Raoul was sufficiently deadly and my pain train (MBs, Senor and Doc) were able to charge up the middle and spread out, taking two objectives. Senor's grenades blocked the Intruder's shot, but his Tomcat was able to grab one objective and I pointed out that he should just sprint away to the far corner (he was going to hunker down in place), so I couldn't catch him. 7-1 me.

Third mission was Frontline against a very experienced O-12 player. He had two Omega's with HMGs and a ton of guys with adhesive that basically glued my entire army down. Early on he white-noised one Omega, blinding my Brawler-sniper and taking him out. But then he advanced his hacker way up the field for some reason and I was able to flank him with my CSU and kill him. In the middle the pain train couldn't make any progress one way, so I tried going the other and proceeded to get all glued up. My Cateran popped up across from his other Omega and gave him a conniption when he found out she had a T2 sniper rifle (didn't believe me, had to show him my sheet). But bad rolls got her killed. By the end he was in control of all three zones and I only had the two Jaguars left. Oddly I had a ton of orders (all the glued models still generating orders they couldn't use), so I said "F-it" and smoke-charged him. One Jaguar got in range of his remaining Omega and managed to chain-rifle him (Jag died in the process) and the other charged into a robo-dog team, killing the dog in melee, but dying to a shotgun from the handler. The result was a 0-5 loss for me, but I at least denied him the furthest zone with the Jag-charge. If I'd play it a little smarter I could have smoke-dodged into melee with the Omega rather than chain-ing him and maybe gotten my Predator classified making it more like 3-2 him. Oh well. Overall his tactics were good and my dice just abandoned me in this game. Even when I got a crit-9, he proceeded to ALSO get a crit-9, negating my roll ("Come on! Really?!?")

Overall I think the lists were solid. The CSU->specialist screw up was kind of a wash because it gave here the nanopulser she used to kill the Kriza. The WIP-19 fail in Firefight with my hellcat was disappointing, but if I'd kept my eyes on the prize (and just been more familiar with the mission) I could have easily killed more points made a win. I find heavy troops (Omegas) with high armor, HMGs and ODD very frustrating, but guess I just need to adjust my tactics. My buddy pointed out that maybe putting the two snipers near each other (rather than on opposite flanks) would let them cover each other better ("Oh you cancel my MSV? Well the T2 sniper fires then..."), which I'll keep in mind in future games.

Tournament was a lot of fun, and all my opponents were really good sports (and I hope I was too). This post is too long, so I'm stopping here. Cheers!

It's clearly too late to tell you but you can't fail the panoply WIP roll with Bandits since those dudes get an auto success due to their Scavenger rule.

Yeah, I realized that after the first roll. Wasn't clear if it gave me a free roll, or let me roll twice. Cost me one order. Oh well... add it to the list of mistakes
