I have to say that I love the art, but the miniature leaves me cold. Too bad it isn't like the art. The barrel chest, the discarded sword, the position of the wings, it all doesn't really work for me.
God, he's ugly... And by the way - yeah, a very tall miniature with wide as hell wings is absolutely the thing I want for a tabletop game.
I am with you. The hair, flames, facial expression (maybe I will do a head swap) would have been better and the pose: The pose from the artwork would have been better as well on the Aristeia board. And I can't help myself but is the leg in the flames slightly too long?
Oh, I didn't notice the leg at first. Now that looks like his foot was severed by the falling sword, haha
I want to like it so much. But the more I look at it, the more I can't even. It's going to be top-heavy on the table even when it fits. It rings far too much BDSM and less Flames of anything. Looking at all that I'd have to do to make it what I want and I could probably scratch build (or find a different sculpt elsewhere).... :(
I'm going to paint him like he's a character on The Jersey Shore. Other than that, agreed that it's a bit over the top!
