Profile released for the super swole Morat lady from Defiance, when she's not working out and comparing "guns" with Valkyrie she can also Special Fireteam Duo with Krakots in Ikari and MAF!

Makes them considerably better in gunfighting though.

The title reminds me of an internet ad.

"DOCTORS HATE THIS ONE TRICK TO STOP MORAT IMPETUOUSNESS!"

Well, she's certainly a best. Dragging a second body behind her to soften up whatever she then hits with her shotgun... pretty much definitely;y going to kill whatever target, maybe 2 you send them at.

Like... Most of the time? The second most common profile is the SMG and then Dual SMG, mostly because he forces opponents to take shit decisions, like eating a DTW or B3/4 SMG shots.

eeem....why would you rely on good ods for shooting then out of cover? if you're going always to choose dtw if being shot at, and shooting if your enemy dodges?

What? Because you don’t? Nothing in this game is as simple as always do A/B and it also gives you utility when you’re outside DTW.
I mean, by this logic you’re suggesting that mimitism and BS13 is wasted on the Tiger Soldier with Combi+Flamer.

If you're using your Krakots as "fire and forget" DTW missiles in Ikari, then you're doing it wrong. We have Yuan Yuan and Desperados for that.

Nothing...but yet... you're being approached in 8" range by Krakot, if you dodge - SMG, if you shoot - 2x dtw - loooks like a\b situation to me. Tiger is bad example, as combi has greater distance for shooting then flamer template. But basicaly...yes... If tiger would have shotgun and flamer - his mimitism wont be so great.

Weeeell, every missle is shot if it has some target and good timing. Definitely, not throwing krakot away and hoping for good rolls....But to kill some smoked ninja it will be more relible choice. And same with yuan-yuan, you're usually hoping to place it well and exchange it value for smth more expensive. Krakot and yuan-yuan are units of bargaining ... At least I play them that way. If you're using krakot for midfield shooting....- ok...your choice...I usually go with buffed lu-duan, TR drone, they seemed to be more reliable in shooting...

@sorniak So with all that waffling in that statement, you're essentially conceding the argument that the Duo option makes them better gunfighters by default, as that's mathematically true. Which is all I was saying.

I guess, we have some misunderstanding. My point is: loosing impetuous for a missile guy is bad, as you won't benefit a lot from cover bonuses (if someone shoots you - shoot back with DTW, if someone dodges - you're shooting).

I understand that and I agree partially, but your statement lacks nuance. For example, I want to reach a link team and in my way is a shitty Moderator. I'm not going to trade my Krakot for a Moderator, when I want him to be within template range of a link further ahead, so I can safely dispose of that Moderator with B3/4 and have very favourable odds with 14's against 10's, rather than 14's against 13's and no ARM from Cover.

She's great to me. Now I can have two Krakot!
I guess the good thing about Duo is that they can take advantage of cover. But also when both come around a corner the enemy must make a choice as to which to ARO. Shooting leader or the other.
I'm kinda disappointed she doesn't' have meta chemistry but i guess she already has them in her skills.

Being in a duo is only 25% less order efficient than 2 impetuous orders and you gain cover and the ability to actually decide in what direction you're moving. Seems like a good trade to me

Plus, if you've got the command tokens free, nothing stops you breaking the link in the order phase, going impetuous, then reforming it. For practical purposes it's simply trading a token for a single order (since a single order would move the duo an equal distance) but the option is often relevant and the difference between a tenth and eleventh order in a combat group can be pretty significant.

hmm...but usually good player guards his flanks with DTW disposable ikadrones, volonteers, scirmishers, flamer bots, mines, koalas etc. Krakot is great when you see a hole inside defence, not for breaking the defence. I can't see krakot (with or without cover bonuses) as a reliable defence breaker. But I see your point. I guess, we just have diffrent style of play then 0_0
