So basically with CC18 and only I-khol 1 he can stick that cool looking polearm up his a... At least miniature is nice. I'm a bit disappointed. The pose was promising and I was hoping for maybe not cc monster but at least efficient fighter. With stats like this I don't think CC is valid option for him.
Either the shotgun or the viral pistols alone would have been a nearly perfect weapon loadout in combination with the mines for the kind of attack he launches. It seems like he's paying for a bunch of different things just so his points cost stays at the ~30pt range.
Feels like CC is over represented on the model for what the profile does. But at least this is a buff to tohaa
CC is not what I expected, but still useful in certain situations. Surprise Attack+L-Khol is still a great tool to use. But Mines+Shotgun turn him from a disappointing CC-guy into a superb fireteam/cheerleader killer. And then they slapped twin Viral Pistols on him to make sure none of his targets have any chance of survival. I don't know how about you, but I see it as an indirect way to buff my Khawarijs and that makes me not so dead inside :^)
The CAP cost is high, but it carries more options than the Tohaa Kiuutan. I like it. But there is one little problem... years ago, when we were speculating about the possible Triumvirate Sectorial, I asked for a Tohaa impersonator that, instead of being a CC specialist, was designed around killing weak targets shooting them to death. With 2 Viral Pistols. I demand Jaan Staar to be renamed :p
Fuck I haaate models with huge, awesome looking weapons and turbo-mediocre CC performance. Hate it! I definitely feel the CC stuff is there mainly to bloat him up, given the cost of LSG and mines. But I also feel that this is what an impersonator should cost - the ones available to Spiral are undercosted and exist as a faction specific strength. A surprise attacking, CC18 ikhol model hitting with a Viral Pistol isn't too bad, but probably not plan A given he cannot reimpersonate and is kind of in trouble if the target survives. Everything else is kind of perfectly what I would want a Tohaa impersonator to be. Not just another efficient smokey punchy kill monster. This profile seems a big upgrade over the combi Kiiutaan, in that it trades a very mediocre distance shooting option for a combination of mines, templates, and viral ammo. I don't know if its good, but I do think its certainly more interesting than the combi option and worth testing out. In particular if you go the no-marker bomb state he is bringing so many damn options its hard to comprehend them all. He could work well as a midfield "fuck off" instead of a first turn assassin in that loadout. But I find that attacking with a non-reserve non-marker Kiiutaan is often pretty tough
