OK, Carlos said nothing about it not being in the Army. Just not being ITS official, "maybe". I don't see what's the point of it then, Infinity-wise - a novelty item for a limited number of scenarios?
The point is to be able to use your cool centrepiece model in friendly games and narrative scenarios, but without changing the scale and balance of ITS. CB have expressed that they're very happy with the current scale of the game and don't want to start increasing the size or number of units.
It is nice that it exists, though, since it gives us an idea of the theoretical power level of a main battle tank in this setting, which this guy is supposed to he approximately equivalent to.
I wonder what could make you think Meggie is supposed to be the equivalent of a MBT. We don't even know what MBTs are supposed to be like in Infinity universe...
The fact that it's described as a "Main Battle Creature" (so a biomechanical creature that fills the same role).
And what role do you think MBTs are supposed to play in Infinity ? MBTs roles have changed a lot through eras. TAGs could fill some of them !

Well, it is a 40 pts model with no smoke, marker state, or deployment/movement skills, so stabbing people with Mono shivs likely won't be his main function. That said - he is a damn nice gunfighter. Shoots almost the same as unlinked VetKazak, which is pretty damn nice for most vanilla armies, and also costs less. Makes for a pretty neat secondary attacker, I think.
I'm not going to argue that there aren't some issues with the profile overall, but calling that level of CC capability "bloat" is outright false.
I hope CB add something more to the add-on. I'm ready to give my pledge 5 to 15 € more but I have nothing left I need (I have the reinforcement pack mini already so I don't need them) So please CB, add some more add on : goodies, badges, patches, printed defiance artwork, exclusive (pulpi) defiance miniature. There are so many things you can add and people would be happy to buy If every backer found a 5 € goodies they like => that's more than 20 k€ more for you
TAGs are easy transportable light armoured vehicles they are not designed to fulfill the roles MBT would, but fulfill a distinct in Infinity role of localized force multiplier, I am not sure megalodrone is the equivalent of an MBT, but it shows how things bigger than the light vehicles TAGs are can be.
Looks more like an IFV - although with the inverse of vulnerabilities as in, instead of being invulnerable to small calibre fire and highly vulnerable to armour fighting ammo, it is nearly invulnerable to armour fighting ammo and gets taken down by volumes of small calibre fire. And farmers with pitchforks. Jolly EI, does it not like farmers with pitchforks getting near it.
