They will. They've said that there'll be expansions that include additional missions more than once in the KS comments. I also noticed late yesterday that one of their people mentioned that aliens won't be the only enemies in game. That's vague and could mean a few different things, but I thought it was worth noting.
I think @Bostria said in one of the on table top videos that they will have scenarios and AI decks to have the main factions of infinity as the enemy eventually.
Well, when you look at 'could be nothing' ...it's not that bad, right? Better a sparrow in the hand than a pigeon on the roof
The cover of the Outcast Expansion looks like the two characters in the front are running away from/being shot at by the two O-12 characters in the back. So maybe it contains side missions where you have to fight O-12 to get the two characters (Raoul Spector and Unknown) to join your crew.
Yeah, without starting needless comparisons, the stretch goal selection has been anemic at best. We are almost at 5x the goal guys, well over half a million dollars. Outcast should have been unlocked by now, hell, at least a couple of purchaseable add-on expansions. At this point most campaigns would be running out of goals and this one isn't even scratching the surface.
I mean all of the SGs put together, only the Aleph hero is worth anything And I don't think this is gonna climb much higher as I suppose most Infinity players who were gonna back have already done so and I don't see non Infinity players backing this. We will see.
That's barely an 11% difference. The fact that there are apparently more heroes / alt variants (Cadin!) still locked in goals shows that they've rather overestimated how popular this would be.
There was a lot of talk of "if the kickstarter does well" It has done well. 5x the goal is beyond well, it's exceptional. And yet here we are
The game now includes 37 minis (38 as we likely to get Trishas's Yudbot "Duchess" soon). I own all the armies so all of them are good for me. So 38 minis for 180 € => 4.74€ per mini. This on itself is a good deal Add to that the scenery pack, most of it that I can easily repurpose as camo token/objective marker for when I play infinity Add to this a second set of dice for my aristeia Add to this the game itself that looks good It's already a good buy by itself, even without strech goal Strech goal brought some nice content, now heavy stuff and lot of mini but enough additionnal content that I feel happy 500 k€ is an important psychological mark, the foam strech goal is nice (well not much for me as I prefer magnet storage for mini and MDF insert, but nice). Still, some big announcement when passing the mark (release of the expension, "surprise" additional SG, add on with a second tile set...) would be great While I don't agree with people complaint regarding strech goals, from their POV, having "cheap" SG every 20k€ is worse than every 20 k$ (as 20k€ = 22.3 k$)
Well, compared to other miniature Kickstarters I wouldn’t say 500k is exceptional. It’s an expectable outcome. Not saying you shouldn’t have “more interesting” stretch goals until that amount. But it’s no reason to shoot one’s wad on the third day of the campaign. I also would say that more equipment cards are way more important for the game than an overabundance of miniatures I won’t use anyway.
Maybe they should have taken half the minis out of the collector's box and done them as stretch goals, same end result but higher perceived "value" for some.
