And how do you differentiate that FTO and (360) behaves differently ? We already asked what FTO meant, and the answer was that it is only there to help specifying which loadout has to be used. Which is the same technique as calling for a specific model haris, means you must take the haris loadout. If you don't call for the haris you are still allowed to use it. So if the rule calls for FTO, you must use FTO, if the rule call for nothing in particular, you can take any loadouts.

If you want the answer to be : FTO means it is a completely different troop unit, which can not be taken in a fireteam unless specifically called for; then maybe you can re-open the thread where the question was asked and answered.

it has nothing to do with words outside (X). There is a bunch of securitate with words outside brackets and they still all count as same models. I agree that skill/equipment are found inside brackets, but words outside brackets doesn't change the model.

Yeah, I see what you mean.

I wasn't ever arguing that it was intuitive but I'm 90% it was what was intended.

    FTO = Fire Team Option

so its the profile valid for fireteam composition, except where its write different (Stempler FTO + Hollow, Stempler (normal beacuse hasn't super jump) with Raoul and Perseus

I lost this mission just yesterday because of what you point out as a big mistake: leaving Szally exposed. I had that long fireline covered by Mary+Interventor+repeater in the path the Magariba had to cross to get that fireline and secure the zone, but sometimes dice don't go as expected. It wouldn't had happen if Szally were in total cover. It was too risky, I overestimate my chances.

Great battle report, BTW. I could've used some more pictures, but your style is great. Keep'em coming.

PS: Spektrs MSR deployed hidden close to the sides of the board are a GREAT way to get unexpected LoF to enemy models in their DZ. I'm not sure if it's included in the first post, but it should, I think.

Wisekensai snapped the pics. We should have taken more pictures, but the three of us we're just hanging out and playing. I knew I was going to write a report, but I just didn't snap pics, I'll try to be better.

Agree on the spektr MSR. Basically MSRs live and die by their opponents range mods, so you want to keep your MSR as far away as possible, generally that means as close to any board edge as possible with long fire lanes.

I'll even deploy outside partial cover if I can get a lot more distance. The swing moving and enemy gun from +3 to -3 is bigger that the swing you get by soley being in cover.

What are people thoughts about TJC and season XI?

The hollow men link and their access to a solid assault hacker and pitcher makes me feel like they could really shine this season.
Backed with the Interventor and a Killer Hacker, TAG and HI lists should feel particularly threatened.

In case I missed something reading the ITS XI pdf: What's the difference between ITS X and ITS XI that makes it more positive for ... say the Hollow Men link?

The fact that the meta is susceptible to change with more TAGs showing up on the boards.

I dunno, I'd guess initially that people might swing to taking more anti tag gear in expectation that people will take more tags. All of those things hurt hollowmen as well (AHD, ML etc) so I'm not sure HM have gotten much better per se. The AHD might become slightly more relevant but you've still got the KHD to deal with that'll be lurking.
Be interesting to see what happens this season, whether tags will actually see more use

Meh. Hollowmen are not really all that more valuable, and more TAGs means more anti-tag weaponry in the table - wich hurts HMs even more so.

Dont think Tunguska will change much - it will still be a decent army with a couple of serious drawbacks, and not much has changed from it.

    Very nice guide!
I am new and interested to Infinity, and currently having a tough time on deciding on the first army.
Tunguska’s cyberpunkish theme is what tingles at my interest.

I said that I would leave TJC for a while, but soon I will enter a little league with it (I think the sectorial is not on the powerful ones side, but is fun to play with it). The first mission is safe area low tier. Checking different lists for the missions, I saw that TJC has a lack of liaison office options. Only grenzers, or non-hidden deployed spectrs (we are not in the worst possition in this regards though). What are your takes in this?

I think the Grenzer is a good choice for this,
as it can be part of a Securitate Core,
and as MI it has FD, which can be very useful for a unit with Sensor.

Welcome! Tunguska is not a bad entry point. The model selection is limited, they are real bad ass looking models, and as far as I have experienced, all the units have a clear purpose that is easily understandable in the game.

    I c.
I have also realized that since Tunguskans are Nomad faction, it means they’ll have easy access into any campaign.

Looking for some inspiration with list building
ComsLog randomized the next game mission and it will be Armory. I considered switching to Vanilla or CJC, but instead set myself the challenge of still going with TJC. Anyone confident on going in with their list?
Should it be a tournament I am pretty sure I would not go with TJC, anyway.

    The auto include should be:
    Jurisdictional Command of Tunguska
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────

    [IMG]2
PERSEUS FTO (Fireteam: Haris) Breaker Combi Rifle, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / 2 Pistols, DA CC Weapon. (0 | 33)
    HECKLER Combi Rifle, Jammer, 1 FastPanda / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 23)

    0 SWC | 56 Points

    Open in Infinity Army

One route would be to expand:
    Jurisdictional Command of Tunguska
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────

    [IMG]4
PERSEUS FTO (Fireteam: Haris) Breaker Combi Rifle, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / 2 Pistols, DA CC Weapon. (0 | 33)
    HECKLER Combi Rifle, Jammer, 1 FastPanda / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 23)
SPECTOR FTO (Regular) MULTI Rifle, Nanopulser, Drop Bears / Pistol, E/M2 CC Weapon. (0 | 36)
STEMPLER ZOND FTO (Super-Jump) Combi Rifle, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 18)

    0 SWC | 110 Points

    Open in Infinity Army
I get another reliable guy in close quarter and button pusher. A sensor to help deny camos taking old. So far I have used 1/3 of my points and 0 SWC.

To add to the area denial, Mary sounds like a good option with FD1, ODD, AHD, KHD and the expected repeater covering the armory.
Other option I like is the Lunokhod to heavy flame inside and the koalas. Coupled with a baggage bot, some horrible refilled koalas triggering on the opponents ARO could leave them in a pickle. But so far I am still at 0 SWC

I could add a cheap securitate link to be defensive and provide order.
My issue is I fail to bring any big gun to do some cleaning around the armory. If I try to have a big gun like the Kriza in the mix, I end up with max a 14 order list, not enough to do everything and push all the minis I want to get close. If I don't I have SWCs to spare and it feels a waste

Am I heading the wrong direction?

I like the idea of the Perseus Haris, but keep in mind that the Stempler can't enter the Armory because its base is too large.
And while Perseus' smoke and ODD help to get there, his ODD might be worthless inside against templates.
What about a Puppetactica (2x Boarding + Marksman cost only 48/0, have 2 wounds each and 2 specialists)?
But then you need a repeater there and Mary in the list to protect them.
And a Zondnautica Spitfire might be a nice attack piece with impetuous order and enough speed to get over the field with minimal orders.

    Regarding The Armory scenario...

I agree that Perseus is solid, and @daszul's advice about the puppets is pretty solid too.

I'd seriously consider the Spektr, especially the BSG, for The Armory. Markers still count and them camoed up with mines about is a solid tactic for holding it. If you pair this up with a repeater and the Interventor HD+ you can ARO white noise to potentially stop the MSV counter.

I think you need a Sensor unit too, or at least a Heckler Jammer, to reveal most markers. Our lack of MSV-2 makes the same trick done back to Tunguska harder to deal with. You want units with high PH values or Hyper Dynamics in there too to counter the DTW spam that comes into the room.

I’m considering starting Tunguska, currently owning no nomads. what are the best starting purchases?

I have a couple of PanO remotes I could paint up as nomad.
